Animal Shadows
My entry into #shadowphoto hosted by @melinda010100. Theme this week is ANIMAL SHADOWS.
Last summer it was a delight to see so many butterflies around the yard.
The Painted Lady is quite similar to the Monarch butterfly and is often mistaken for them. They both have white dots on their wings and Painted Lady has black splashes on her wings.

This photo was taken in September, 2017. It was late in the season for the butterflies to still be around and not have migrated to warmer climates.
