Little Cherine Book 06 - BPost026

If there is no discipline, then there will not be any self-discipline. Allow a child to be cruel, selfish, greedy and that is how it will be as an adult.

Cherine and I tried to end off our chat in a sweeter and happier frame of mind, but it was only when Cherine had a brainwave and told Jessie to chat with Arthur that he became the sweet friend we love. At first I felt I should have insisted on going alone to speak to him, but after some thought I decided it was good that Robbie came with. They may have fought, but he has also been forced to reconsider many things. If the same has happened to Arthur, how will it affect us?

We did not leave immediately. We told Allan to get lost as we needed time alone, and with a grin he took Jessie’s hand and left. We will let them have the rest of the day and the night. Not that Cherine and I are complaining about the time we will have alone with Robbie. Hmm, should I also get lost? No, I don’t think so, why deprive them of the pleasure of my company?

Eleni took one look at Jessie’s face and felt her heart fall in love with him all over again. As he hugged her she whispered loudly, “You should do as Roberto does and have another fifty girls. You would make us all happy.” He was flattered but puzzled by her comment, his doubts of anyone being able to love him making him wonder why Eleni said it for a short while. She does not take that kind of nonsense and forced him to take a good look into her heart.

* * * * *

Elia and Claire have called in architects and all the other technical people they need to convert their house to the Club Cherinián. They are using all their influence to get the approvals in time for them to open the club on the general Cherinian anniversary (25th of March next year). Claire laughingly complains she is getting too much help in packing her things. They are renting a house for a year until they find their ideal home to buy. Everybody still thinks of Elia as a shipowner and he does still have ships, but the bulk of his fortune is now in other Cherinian enterprises - luckily, as shipping is in the doldrums.

Dr Maria has roped in another two doctors that Cherine found suitable and her clinic is being extended. Aganthi’s schools had to be extended again and for a short while they had problems with the tax authorities who refused to believe they do not operate on a profitable basis. The schools had not been registered, and Alki insists they will not be, as charitable organisations. Alki says if they are registered then that would give the authorities the right to interfere. Since all the funding comes from offshore companies, the taxman had to withdrew his claims.

I call this my diary. I will continue to do so, but I no longer think of it as my diary. In a sense I could say it has been that way since the beginning, but now it is a conscious decision. Too many people outside of our direct family are reading it, so it would be boring for them to read of the minor day to day events that make up the life of a family. It is better I treat it as a factual novel.

Flattery is not possible between Cherinians, so I have not had any compliments about my style of writing. At best this work can be labelled as a recording of events that are important to our family and Cherinians in general. It does not mean I will avoid describing emotional moments, for they too are part of our history and sometimes more important to us than the grand adventures we’ve shared.

On the first of December, Robbie did what he is rarely willing to do on our homeworld. He stocked a platform with everything we need for a party, invited our local Cherinians, Ordinx and his family and told Sol to bring along a few Thinkers. Only then he told us he has organised a party for us.

For the first time ever the platform became opaque, so we guessed Robbie wants to surprise us. The trip took longer than we expected so we guessed it was off planet and further away than the moon. The platform landed gently and only then did the platform become so clear it was difficult for us to see it still exists. With a flourish Robbie announced. “Ladies and gentlemen, the first party ever on Mt. Olympus - on Mars.”

He gave us some time to gawk like tourists and then he called out, “Noelle, may I speak to you?” Before she could go to him he moved to her and bent on one knee. “Noelle, you have been too patient and tolerant of me. I should have done this years ago. Will you please marry us?”

Irene cried, but Noelle kept a dignified pose and put her hands to his cheeks. “I would gladly have waited another hundred years for this day Robert. I need for one of your wives to join you in asking me. Do you mind?”

3752

We all knew it would mean more to her if Cherine did, so she was chosen to represent us. Cherine took Irene by the hand and they both knelt before her and asked her to marry us. Now she let herself cry with her joy. Robbie took her by the hand, Irene by his other hand and the four of them walked over to Gina. They all went on to one knee and proposed to her. When she accepted I cried so I missed the next few moments. When I looked again the five of them were kneeling before Lucy. Before they could ask her she answered yes, sobbing her heart out. Robbie took her in his arms and held her tightly until she recovered. The six of them went to Goldi and knelt.

Goldi also knelt. “No, do not ask me Robert. Please stand up.” They all did and she proposed to us. Cherine accepted on our behalf.

By now so many of us were crying, Robbie was forced to stop and wait for us to slightly recover. Our eyes were all on Agapi now, but instead he went to Empathia. Before they could kneel, she shook her head, biting her lip. Robbie stared at her for a moment and then pulling her face to him kissed her. They went to Agapi who was already crying, her family standing by her, caressing her hair and patting her shoulders.

“You have been in our hearts since the day you teased me as a baby. Will you join with us, not just as part of our family circle, but also wife to us all? Will your family give you to us with joy in their hearts?”

His two questions flustered her and Tasso called out, “We do Roberto.” Then she threw herself into his arms as she accepted the proposal.

Robbie stood up with Agapi and Noelle in his arms. “Friends, let us party tonight to celebrate. Our family has just grown richer in love.”

And what a party it was! We’ve never seen so many Cherinians allow themselves to get drunk.

None of us wanted to be kids, but home was rather far away for adult sized clothes. We had to resort to our old trick of projecting. I know we said it is the same as using our healer to change our bodies, but it is also not the same and we can appear dressed as we wish.

Cherine and Dommi started the tradition of a proposal having to come from all of us. It pleases the wives, but the truth is that the girl being proposed to tends to be focussed on Robbie and the rest of us get ignored. We do not mind our future wife ignoring us momentarily, as long as Robbie doesn’t. It was nice of Noelle to ask for our proposal also and she has been flooded with our emoting.

Robbie asked for the wedding to be on the 13th of December. We saw Agapi’s mother cross herself so we suggested the 11th and he agreed. Alki pulled a face but did not complain. They are going to Rio de Janeiro, and have booked an apartment in Av. Gal. San Martin, Leblon from the 10th of December until mid January. Not a problem since they can teleport to us, but it will be an anticlimax, enduring the long flight there and then having to almost immediately jump back.

Robbie gave everyone a pigeon egg sized stone from Mars to keep as souvenirs, some of them looking like blueberries - after he checked them using void energies for any possible microscopic lifeforms. Our brides each got a blue crystal flecked with red dots that are so bright they give the illusion they are tiny fires locked up inside. He promised to take us on a tour of Mars some other time.

As seems to have become a tradition with our weddings, everything had to be prepared in a rush. We first had to choose a location. We tried to outdo each other in choosing exotic places, until Goldi shyly asked if she could get married at the same broken down chapel Cherine and Dommi married Robbie in. Since the other brides liked the idea we were left with deciding where to celebrate the wedding with our friends and then Robbie had to choose where he will take his brides.

Since we seemed to be opting for tradition, Alki opened his old home for a family celebration and then we booked the club of Apostoli. Wendy wished she could ask her old singer-friend, but she has married and settled down to bringing up her children. She did bring her husband to be linked, but did not do so for her children. She wants them to grow up as Normal kids and she promised herself the day they turn thirteen she will ask Cherine to link them. This means the couple either have to miss our meetings and parties or they have to find babysitters.

Aganthi dressed as a flower girl and looking exactly as she had when Cherine found her, walked around the club offering her flowers. She had to use her gifts to jump flowers to her basket because everyone bought. When she arrived at the table of Savva and Sophia he bought all her flowers at the insistence of his wife and then taking Aganthi by the hand she brought her to Cherine.

“Tonight is a good time for us to give your gifts to a new child. We’d like to adopt her, can she be linked?”

3753

“I don’t think I should try to link her Sophia.” She looked very disappointed so Cherine stood up and hugged her. “You have the right instincts Sophia. You chose the same girl I did. You do not recognise her? It is our Aganthi, she has come as she was the day we found her.” Sophia burst into tears and hugged Aganthi. It took her a long time to get over how terrible Aganthi looked.

Robbie tried hard to look serious as he talked to our brides, “As of today I cannot depend on the same goodwill you showed me in the past - you are my wives now, so I have to be careful. I cannot make love to all five of you at the same time so you must choose the order and where each of you would like to spend your first night with me.”

Each one wanted to make way for the others, but they finally decided. They brought him their list: Agapi; Gina; Noelle; Lucy and last was Goldi. Robbie promptly reversed the order. Goldi made such a fuss that he had to switch Agapi with her.

Goldi struggled to hide her excitement at an idea she’d had, so we were all careful not to reach into her mind. It is obviously something to do with her honeymoon, because we also sensed she is nervous.

It is a sad thing about sex. At the time of the sexual act it is the most individual and delightful sharing possible to those who love and are loving each other. It feels and is totally unique. Writing about it is another matter. I cannot put on paper the different ways the one girl smells to Robbie from the other and how each one’s scent is a delight to him. Yes, they all went for their honeymoon at body ages between eight to ten years with the childish scents he adores. Yes, I could speak of the sweetness he felt in their hearts, the adoration he felt for them, of the fires they lit in each other and so on, but in the end I believe that the writing of it only robs the occasion and memories of the magic they shared until they all blur into one.

For the above reasons I’ll mostly concentrate on the time they spent bonding. Agapi was given the choice of going wherever she wants for the day. Robbie’s intentions notwithstanding, he was wrong to ask her. Anywhere he’d offered she would have been delirious. Having to choose meant that she would wonder whether it would have been nicer for him if she’d chosen a different location. The truth is, this pc nonsense of the feminists has affected most men and in that way, spoilt it for many women - well, at least those who love their man being a man.

“Give her more than the one day you promised Robert, she has waited for so long and been so sweet about it, that all of us want her to have a week with you.”

“Our other brides will only expect a day if I do?”

“They’ll hope for more, but none will resent her.”

He grinned. “Hmm, I think you’re just trying to get me into trouble, Cherine.”

As with most girls, she has read the women’s magazines her mother does and has the idea that Paris is the city of her dreams. As far as she is concerned it is the city every girl dreams of going to. Robbie did not pull a face, only appearing to be saddened.

“My love, neither of us speak French and I don’t think we should be dragging Claudia with us. How about we all go there after the honeymoons?” I was tempted to make a joke that as long as he can speak Arabic, he’ll manage.

She was deflated for all of a second and then her eyes lit up. “Could we go to Nairobi when you were a boy? Maybe we would see you.”

“We can’t take the chance of changing our present love.”

“Another reality?”

“Same goes for all of them. Nairobi at present would not be a good choice, how about Dar?”

“Okay.” We could sense it was not her dream place, too many of us have gone there.

Dommi cut in before Robbie could confirm Dar as their destination. “Why not go to the Italian Riviera? You don’t have to know Italian, most of the villages on the route have English speaking people.”

3754

Cassie grinned. “Say yes Agapi! Then you’ll have the only honeymoon ever where Robert drove you around.” Robbie did not find it funny when we all laughed.

Since Agapi liked the idea, Dommi insisted she should go. With her in the car we know his driving will be perfect.

We have all seen the rock so many times in the tellings that we instantly recognised it without having to listen in to his thoughts. Agapi was thrilled.

“This is where you saw the Greek ship that took you to Africa!”

He grinned. “Would you like to do that? If we find a willing captain, would you like me to offer that you work for our passage?”

Her eyes sparkled naughtily. “Like this, as an eight year old?”

“Hmm, might not be such a good idea, they could all be paedophiles, like in the story, ‘Pariah - Escape To Paradise’.” He grinned. “The guy in the story had more common sense that I’ve shown, he didn’t keep all the girls for himself. Not that I understood why he let the little sister go.”

“I haven’t read the story, is it worth reading?” He burst out laughing and told her not to bother...the best way to make certain she does.

They wound their way down through narrow streets filled with tiny shops. Agapi marvelled at how different everything is to Athens. Even the coffee, fruit juice, sandwiches and pastries they ordered at a small coffee shop smelled and tasted like nothing she has ever had.

“Can’t we get any Italian Cherinians to open a pastry shop in Freddie?”

“I like that idea! We’ll have to check. Should the waiters be handsome young men or pretty girls?”

“If they are grownup, you will not mind?” He is enjoying himself so much he’s not keeping tabs on her mentally, so I guess she’ll get away with it for a while.

Robbie only had two details he had to take care of for them to have the rest of the day free to themselves. They found a small but beautiful hotel and the hotel arranged for a car rental company to deliver a car to them (it is the only time Robbie is willing to do something illegal. He uses his gifts to present a piece of paper and make it seem to be his driving licence).

They wandered down to the seaside and finding a coffee shop that was not too busy, they sat and talked. Robbie has relaxed a lot compared to the early days. He has realised that nobody will think it strange that an adult male holds a child on his lap or caresses her, so Agapi was repeatedly reminded of his love for her. We all found it strange that she was not depending on her Cherinian gifts to sense him, enjoying feeling how he loves her from the tone of his voice, what he says and from his constant touching of her - almost as if she were a Normal.

Robbie jumped them to the parking area of the restaurant Luigi sometimes takes us to and then spent nearly ten minutes arguing to get a table. Luckily he was recognised by one of the staff and he quietly explained to the maître’d and they were given a table. She has never been with us to this restaurant and was delighted by the foods Robbie ordered for her. That’s right, ‘foods’, not ‘food’. He had her taste a little bit of various dishes so that she can know what she especially likes. When they got to the sweets, she loved the tiny mountain strawberries and the other berries so much that Robbie wondered about growing them in Freddie.

After the meal they walked along the coast (by the road, as there was no long stretch of beach). Robbie carried Agapi in his arms and she was happy to rest her head on his shoulder, feeling the joy of being held by him. Because she was half asleep and Robbie had enjoyed a couple of drinks, he made the mistake of jumping them directly to their room instead of collecting the keys from the reception desk. We’re not even going to try to imagine what the staff thought when they walked out of their room the next morning.

3755

“This is the only problem I have with Italy, no decent breakfast.”

“You wanted your honeycomb?”

“Why do you think they call it a honeymoon? How can it be a honeymoon without honey?”

She laughed. “I wondered why you were talking to me in English - it was just for you to play with words!”

“Well, I got nothing else to play with.”

“You don’t like playing with me?”

“Not yet love, not that way. First we tease each other and come to understand a little of what makes the other tick.”

She felt her chest. “Oh - oh! I forgot to bring spare batteries!” She sagged to the side in her chair, her head drooping onto her chest. Robbie grinned and tickled her.

Agapi has a nice sense of humour (perhaps it is part of what she sees as necessary for a woman to be the best for her man?) so they travelled along the coast talking continually and often laughing. I find it amazing that a Greek girl can understand and laugh at his English schoolboy humour. (Dommi: Sam, you are doing it again. You are belittling Agapi and being condescending. Please be more careful - and leave what you wrote for her to read someday when she gets interested in reading the diary.)

There isn’t much else to write about, just personal moments that only belong to them. Agapi had to wait until the fourth night before he made love to her.

“Lucy love, where would you like to go?”

“I don’t know, you choose.”

“Uh-huh, this is your honeymoon, choose wherever you want.”

“Can I choose somewhere crazy?”

“Like?”

“Mars?”

“Have you thought it through? We’d have to be sheathed, which is not great for touching and kissing. Your choice, a honeymoon that is interesting or one that is loving?”

“Can Solomon create somewhere interesting on the Sparkler World where we won’t need sheathing?”

“Lord!” Robbie laughed and made certain she sensed how envious we all were. “You sure come up with interesting ideas. My love, both places will be an adventure and I’m certain very exciting, but why don’t we keep them for an adventure for all of us to share when we have more time? I’m guessing you are trying to think of something unique for your honeymoon?” She nodded. “Do you know what the problem with that is? If it is too unique we’ll be concentrating on the where we are instead of on each other. I promise to take you somewhere crazy another time, right now I want to spend all my time on learning about you.”

She tried to hide her disappointment and concentrated on the places we know while still trying to find a way to make it unique, that might be why she came up with the craziest idea of all.

“If I say Cyprus, will you mind if I want to make it special?”

“Just being there alone with you will do that for me love. What’s your idea?”

“Can the girls make me think I’ve lost the link and am only a Normal girl? That way I’ll know how I would have felt if I had not been a Cherinian.”

3756

“If either of us do that we’ll spend our time there feeling miserable. There is another aspect to consider. I would then be a stranger to you and if you come at this age you’ll think I’m far too old to be interested in me. Let’s try your idea but with a difference. We both go there as Normals, but we will both know we chose to do so and have all our memories.” Her eyes gleamed at his idea. He laughed. “You’ll have to be more talkative than you usually are or else I’ll return knowing nothing new about you.”

For this once Robbie did not fight with us when we insisted Vincent must watch over them.

They found a small hotel in Polis, by the Khrysokhou Bay, on the northern side of Cyprus. They rented a car at Larnaka airport and as they passed through Limassol they stopped for lunch. Our favourite Limassol taverna has been sold and the new owners were not as interested in creating a friendly atmosphere, more interested in people eating and leaving for the next customers to spend their money; tourists in winter are rare, but a passenger vessel had arrived that morning and they were hustled to pay and leave, so they did not enjoy eating there. It is also now surrounded by little shops and stalls selling tourist souvenirs, which means the entire atmosphere has changed. Robbie hates going to those shops, but stayed with Lucy as she wondered among the stalls and smiled at her pleasure when she found a thin silver bracelet she wants.

During their flight there, they’d talked about how they felt about having no gifts, but by now they’d run out of comments to make about it. Lucy is not a chatterer, speaking only when she has something to say. As they drove towards Polis she thought about his comment before their gifts were blocked off and struggled to make conversation.

Robbie was amused by her effort, but his natural empathy forced him to speak. “Lucy, I was wrong to make the comment I did. I want to get to know the real you, not someone you try to pretend to be. If you don’t want to talk, don’t worry, I can talk enough for both of us.”

Leaving their baggage at the hotel they drove up what used to be a dirt road and an abandoned village. Now there is a tar road up to the newly built village and they struggled to find the dirt road that went to the top of the mountain. They got to the top just in time for him to sit with her in his arms as they watched the sun set.

“We’ve seen some fantastic sunsets on other worlds Robert, but I still love ours the best.”

“How do you feel about having travelled to other worlds?”

“What do you mean?”

“Like me, you started life as a Normal. Does being a Cherinian feel like a miracle to you?”

“Robert, I was only a Normal as a baby. I may have become a Cherinian when I was older, but I grew up with Cherinians. I can’t imagine not being a Cherinian.” She paused. “I’d hate not being one. Robert, I think I made a mistake, this was a silly idea. I miss feeling you too much.”

He laughed. “Gosh! You didn’t even last one day!” He tightened his arms about her. “We’ll have a long life of sensing each other my love. Your idea was not silly, it was a stroke of genius. I’ve been toying with the idea of asking all our loves to try it.”

She squirmed against him. “They’ll blame me.”

“That’s okay.” He laughed as she looked up at him, upset that she could not sense whether he is teasing her or not.

Robbie was enjoying himself. Because she could not sense him he was being far more demonstrative, touching her as often as he could, holding her either on his lap or by his side, showing in physical ways how much he loves her. Lucy is not as comfortable with the situation as he is, she mostly finds it frustrating not being able to take the shortcut of emoting her love for him. She does however enjoy the extra attention.

3757

Neither of them slept well, waking up repeatedly to reassure themselves the other is there and okay. They got up just after dawn and walked around until breakfast was available. Robbie told her to put on her bikini and go for a swim while he sits at the taverna sketching. After interrupting himself for the twentieth time, he set down his pad and watched her. He wondered at how he has changed and tried to find reasons why the changes are not good for Cherinians. For instance, he knew that Vincent is watching over Lucy and yet he finds that within a minute of seeing her he is worrying whether she is still safe.

What he did not know was that she was not safe. Not that her life or body was in danger, but her heart and mind were. Despite being a Normal, she still had the perfect health and inner glow that comes from being a Cherinian. She is also very beautiful, having sculpted herself to a compromise between what she knows appeals to Robbie and what she herself considers lovely.

Despite it not being warm and not many tourists coming to Cyprus in the Winter, there is a British family that live in Cyprus (the father an executive of a multinational company). They have a son of thirteen and, out of boredom, the mother took him to the beach so that he gets away from his computer for a while and is outside in the sun. He was walking up and down, fully dressed with two sweaters to keep him warm, waiting for his mother to change her mind, as she usually does, so that he can return to chatting on line. He saw Lucy running in and out of the water and walked over to see how it is she can enjoy herself in the freezing water.

Most boys (of the time I was born) were not interested in girls that much younger than them. The boy, Aston, is of a different generation. Since he’d found his way to chat sites two years previously, he has shared in many sex chats and it is not uncommon for children younger than him to join in. He’d actually discovered that girls of ten or younger are more apt to be less inhibited once they see older girls exhibiting their breasts and sexual organs. He has a collection of cams (nowadays they are as clear as professional video cameras and include directional sound) that take up hundreds of gigabytes of his hard drive. Of course he keeps them in an encrypted container and keeps copies of innocent chats for his parents to see should they check.

Before I continue with Lucy and Aston, for it is pertinent, I should mention the changes in encryption laws and programs. You told me that in your time most people use an encryption program called Kremlin. In our reality that program, the domestic version 2.21 was also the most popular for a while. As you know, the joke was that the government banned the sale of that version outside of the United States, but everybody had it and it was easy to find copies with the serial numbers - it was only later that it was discovered the program has a flaw, which allows the law enforcement agencies to decrypt the files.

As the years passed (in our reality) the U.S. government put pressure on other governments and most of them banned encryption, or limited it’s strength. As Robbie says, one well-intentioned idiot in power makes a decision according to what he considers logical, laws get passed because his arguments are logical and no one else in government seems to know enough about computers and the internet to point out how foolish the proposed laws are. They don’t even seem to understand people! Programmers, crackers, kids and just about everyone shrugged off the news and carried on discussing and exchanging new and stronger programs, freeware or commercial, from countries that have not enacted the new international laws. It must have been ironic, for the owners of the programs from the major economies watching what is happening on the internet, seeing their older programs being widely circulated without them collecting a cent, while their newer versions hardly sell. Very few want them, for the public know by now that most governments have demanded back doors for them to decrypt files of those they suspect. As for the declared purposes of forbidding export of the programs…terrorist organisations, drug lords, paedophiles, they not only are able to get hold of the programs they want, they also have their own custom made programs.

A new program came out about six years ago. It was written by an Indian programmer (he was only seventeen years old!) and he placed it on the internet as freeware with source code. Hackers, Robbie knows, tell him that they doubt any method will be found for decrypting the drives it encrypts for at least another twenty years, if ever. When you set it up you have to enter three sets of passwords (each set is made up of four passwords). If a mistake is made while entering any of the four passwords (they must be entered sequentially) the program switches to the next set. If you’ve made a mistake on the third set also, it contacts the atomic clock on the web and then refuses further passwords for an hour. Brute force is no longer an option. It does not accept words that can be found in a dictionary (English). Each of the four passwords can be up to five hundred and twelve characters or they can be a picture, song or a video clip, or a mixture of them. The encryption algorithm is far stronger than using AES plus Blowfish together. The user can set it to accept wrong passwords, but it provides innocent documents, not what was really encrypted - which stays hidden at an inner level. Even I hate having to try and break the passes. Keith told me that the governments will be capable of decrypting these files within a year! I hope not, but even if they find shortcuts that make it possible, new programs will appear.

As Aston drew closer to Lucy he found himself enthralled. He decided he’d never seen a girl as pretty as her, not even on the web. Her bikini is revealing enough and her perfect paedophile proportions are a dream for him.

“Aren’t you cold?”

Lucy laughed. “It’s freezing, but it’s fun.”

“You’re braver than I am. Is that your dad?”

“Sort of.”

“Would he mind if I buy you something hot to drink?”

“He wouldn’t, but I’m not sure I want to.”

“Hey, this is your chance to get to know me. Cyprus is boring in the winter, I’m all you’ve got.” He was grinning, suggesting he was making fun of himself, and since Lucy could not sense him and does not have much experience, she fell for it.

We all decided we would gladly break our rules and forcefully ‘throw’ some pillows at Robbie when he decided he finds the situation ‘interesting’ and wants to see how it will develop. As Lucy left with Aston and his mother, Robbie at least had the sense to ask Vincent to show him the house once they arrive.

It was nearly three quarters of an hour later when Vincent walked over to the taverna. Robbie ordered two coffees.

“They stay on the other side of Polis. I waited until the mother finished offering Lucy something to drink and watched for a few minutes once they were alone.”

“And?”

“She is a prime Robert. A couple of questions have occurred to me. As her protector, am I serving her interests by spying on her for your sake? I have no problem in doing so with all of them, if it is for the purpose you created me, but this is different.”

Robbie’s eyes narrowed as he prepared to break the block. “Your second question?”

“This is a general question. If any of your wives or daughters decide to have sex with somebody else, what is my role? Am I expected to report it to you before it happens, after, or not at all? Do you expect me to act as your protector?”

Robbie was not the only one shaken by Vincent’s questions. Anxiously we waited to hear how Robbie will react. It felt as if his innards were shaking.

“You do not report to me - ever! Not even if I ask you to.” He lit a cigarette. “Vincent, I have my weak moments just like any man, you do not betray your primes by telling me.”

“If, in my judgement, it will harm them if they do so?”

“They are all old enough to make their own decisions. Hold it, perhaps I better ask all the girls. If you are acting according to your instincts and you would be betraying them by not warning me, I think the girls better decide what you do. I would suggest you do not tell me, but you warn Dommi. If it is Dommi you are worried about, then you warn Cherine. It will be up to them to decide whether they wish to warn me or prefer to handle the matter on their own.” He looked away for a moment, forcing himself to keep to his decision and not make any exceptions. “What do they say?”

“They cannot decide unless the decision is unanimous. They have to wait for Lucy.”

“And that poses a…forget it. I’ll wait.”

3759

Vincent had listened as Aston talked to Lucy once they were alone and guessed in what direction Aston will be taking things so he monitored them as he drank his coffee. His distracted air must have warned Robbie.

“Vincent, Lucy knows you are protecting us. Do not interfere in whatever happens unless she calls for you.”

“He is also a child Robert, if it is necessary to protect her from him, how do I?”

Robbie exploded. “For god’s sake Vincent, grow up! If a child is committing a crime or hurting another, you have the right to interfere.”

“I see. You have matured then, you would do so?”

“You mean if the child is taking things to the extreme and the only way I could stop it is by harming or killing it? That might happen someday with a new talent, but for a Normal child you should not need to take extreme actions.”

Vincent turned to look him in the eyes. “Have you included in your decisions that I happen to love all my primes? I too am capable of flying into a rage.”

It is not often that Robbie is at a total loss for words. He had to re-order, shift and re-examine all his thoughts and prejudices about Vincent from a new perspective and he found it difficult, until he remembered that what is important is that Vincent said he loves us. He is not the only one shaken and us girls stared at each other with eyes filled with wonder and joy. Shocked, we sensed Robbie harden himself.

“Then you learn to control yourself. I have enough problems facing me, without having to start holding court cases for you also. You lose control Vincent and you will be hurting your…the girls.”

Aston was certainly not shy about making quick moves. First he opened some chats and replayed them so as to gauge Lucy’s reactions. She thought he was just being a child and showing off so she did not react in any way that would embarrass him. He took that as a positive sign and opened some of the more daring ones that included girls of seven to ten years old.

“Do those girls have sex in real life, or do they only do this on the web because they feel safe?”

“I’ve had a couple of them ask me if I live close to them. I’m sure they have sex with friends. Why shouldn’t they, you don’t believe all that crap the adults tell us do you? We have the right to do what we want with our bodies.”

“You’d have sex with that seven year old?”

“She’s too ugly, but if she was pretty and wants me to, why not? Why don’t we go live and chat with my friends.” He clicked on his chat icon. Once he was logged in, he chose the first kid to talk to, a boy of about fifteen. “Greg, meet Lucy, my new friend.”

Greg was nonchalantly masturbating, the chat box showing there are a number of others watching and chatting with him.

Aston clicked on a side button and new screens opened up showing what Greg is watching and masturbating to. Three girls were egging him on, rubbing their mounds and acting as lewdly as they knew how to. Lucy was now eager to find an excuse to leave.

“Jesus, look at that little brunette, she’s fucking hot!” He pulled at his slacks, baring himself and taking his penis in his hand he started jerking, turning the cam so that the others can see both him and Lucy. “Don’t be shy, you can watch Greg or me, whatever turns you on while you finger yourself.”

He made to reach over to touch her and Lucy pulled back. We almost giggled because she was about to say that she is married, but she remembered in time and got up to go.

“I have to leave.”

By the time Lucy did manage to leave her chair, the chatroom must have maxed, everybody joining to watch as Aston first tried to talk her into staying and then tried to make her touch his penis while his hand groped, trying to reach in through her waistband. Lucy jerked away.

From our side we had a furious Theresa to deal with. To say she was furious does not adequately describe her rage. Cherine had to block her from jumping while we tried to calm her, while also watching Lucy in case she needs help.

The more Lucy tried to leave, the more insistent Aston became, refusing to take no for an answer. Being bigger than her, he thought he had the advantage physically. Encouraged by his chatroom friends who were shouting advice to him, Greg shouting he should pull down her pants and screw her, Aston grabbed her by the shoulders to kiss her.

“Fuck Lucy, you saw from the beach that I was fucking crazy about you. What you scared of, I can’t make you pregnant, you’re too young, and I don’t have any diseases.” He grabbed her hand and tried to put it on his penis. “Wait till you have this inside you, you’ll never want to stop!”

“I said no!” She pulled away and he tried to yank her pants down. We all screamed with delight and shock as Lucy suddenly swung and hit him in the eye with her fist. It was not only the unexpected blow that knocked him to the ground. Lucy as a Cherinian has enough strength to knock down an adult male. She was now also in a rage and she bent down over him and slapped him hard. “How dare you try to rape me! I said no and I meant it. You are all sick! You disgust me.”

As she walked out she saw the mother. “I hurt Aston, you better go fix him. He tried to rape me so as to give his friends on the web a thrill.” She rushed into her son’s bedroom and as Lucy walked away she heard the mothers’ screams of anger from the road.

“Vincent, can you unblock me or else take me home please.” We asked Vincent to wait and let Theresa jump to her. She put her arms around her and jumped to a beach. They cried in each others arms and talked for hours. They ended up laughing about her hitting Aston. We told Vincent to explain to Robbie what had happened and we asked that he wait for Lucy to come to him at the hotel.

Once Lucy was back with Robbie, he was emoting so much love for her that I think she did not need to be a Cherinian to feel him. What she did need was a night in his arms without it being sexual in any way and that is what Robbie offered. When she woke up in the morning, she was snuggling up to him and rubbing her body against him, so again Robbie found it easy to work out what she needed. His loving was tender so she still has to wait for their first lovemaking as man and wife.

At nine thirty the receptionist phoned to advise Robbie that they have guests waiting for them in the lobby. Robbie offered to go alone, but Lucy stubbornly refused to listen to him. Both parents were downstairs, but when Lucy saw that Aston had not come with she felt contempt for him.

“Mr Teller, I am Martin Roper and this is my wife Cecilia. We have come to apologise to you about yesterday.”

“I was not aware that the two of you did anything to me!”

“We meant for the bad behaviour of our son.”

“He did not do anything to me either. Mr Roper, apology not accepted.”

“You have reported it to the police?”

“What for? Mr and Mrs Roper, if I may, I suggest you return home and apologise to your son.” Lucy gave a start and stared up at his face.

“I don’t understand.”

“If you had brought up your son with the right values you would not have any reason to be here today. I suggest you apologise to him for not bringing him up correctly. Thank you for coming.”

“Mr Teller, I can understand that you are angry, but what you said is not true. Children are not only influenced by their parents. Friends at school, the media and the internet seem to work against any parent succeeding in bringing up their children with the correct values. Thanks to your daughter we discovered what Aston was doing on the internet and have taken his computer away from him.” With evident satisfaction in her voice she added, “Martin smashed his hard drive with a hammer.”

Robbie glanced at Lucy first. “I am a smoker. The hotel allows me to use the dining room for coffee when nobody is eating. Will you join us for a coffee? I think we need to talk.”
