Day 2 - Write a Love Poem, Post a Photo to Match

i know nothing else with you,
i know no other way

say the crocus, the daffodil, the iris

to the soil - even when it washes away
to the sun - even when it abandons them
to the rain - even as it drowns them

in the doldrums of mid-winter
we can see them waking up

existing beyond simple growth
pushing to thrive and flourish
to serve as a reminder
that winter is not eternal
and that colour and warmth
await the arrival of the bees as well
