How to Optimize Content for Voice Search
Google recently introduced Google Assistant for speakers and cars, which will display information on screens. In the recently launched Assistant they have sent notices to publishers about it and have added limited kinds of content like news, recipes and podcasts in this Assistant. Here are few tips to optimize your content for Google Assistant.
Use Structured Data
As we all know structured data has become a vital of search engine rankings in recent algorithm updates by Google. This structured data is now important for making your content Voice Assistant friendly.
Make Content Voice Friendly
One of the most important tip to make your content Google Voice friendly is the use of Voice Snippets. You can understand it with an example. If your content is organized in large table then it might not be suitable for Voice Assistant. In other words if you have answers of questions on your site and you have a long detailed answer then it may not fit best as voice reading by assistant.
Don’t Over Optimize for Voice Search
In the eyes of Google anything over optimized for search engines is regarded as doorway page. So do not try to convert your content for voice searches and always try to write content that is natural and is easy to read for users.
Though there are not enough guidelines available for voice search optimization until now but still you should stick to basic SEO guideline of creating natural and easy to read content and keep an eye on the upcoming tips to optimize your websites further for Google voice Assistant.
