Yes, I did. I bought the Eths - Ultimate Show BluRay / DVD Box Set through a crowdfunding at Ulule.com
Then I participated in several ICOs and they all crashed and burned. Some even disappeared. Including Accorn Collective, which was a Crowdfunding Platform running on Blockchain. But, since 99% of the "investors" dumped their tokens as soon as they could, the project went bust.
Let's face it, there are no investors in Crypto. Only guys looking for a quick profit.
I've sadly had not so fruitful investments in crypto myself... Thanks for your entry 👍
It's ironic that most people buying into ICOs call themselves investors...
Well, investors are people who back a project or company with their own money. Investors are people who wait for projects to come to life before selling their investments.
People who buy stocks or tokens to sell them as soon as possible are obviously people who don't believe in the projects, thus they are not investors. At most, they are gamblers or traders.
Personally, I'm done with that space. I'd rather go back to stocks than to put any more of my money into ICOs, STOs or Alt Coins without a working project.

Yeah, I've done a couple now.
I did the Steem Monsters kickstarter and, like @kenny-crane, got some packs and some pretty sweet exclusive promo cards.
I've also recently contributed to @bryan-imhoff's comic project (seriously, get around this one if you can afford to spare a little coin. It looks like it will be great - https://fundition.io/#!/@bryan-imhoff/fzjpdacz9)
And I vaguely recall doing something for someone locally here that was trying to get a book published. I think she achieved her goal, I remember getting a couple of prints of some artwork as my reward. I put them away for safekeeping waiting til my daughter was born. She's 3 now and I still haven't found them :/

I only started participating in some crowdfunding stuff myself last year. 3 out of the 5 were Steem related in some way! I did Steem Monsters, a comic by @jpgaltmiller, and most importantly... a currently running KickStarter by @drwatson who has a great comic!

My school is really modern and we have all kind of games between us. For example, we have a coin system as well, students get rewarded 1 coin for finishing all the tasks of the given week. In there I have taken part in some crowd fundings eg.: 300 coins to make to whole class have a day off. 60 coins to make the mentors dress up as pirates for one day etc.
It is real good fun :D
If I would win by any chance I would go with the SBI share.

I participated in the steemmonsters fund raiser. Got some nice promo cards and some beta packs. I sold one card that made me a 60% profit on what I invested and I still have all the other cards. 👍

Not really a company for charity yes, it was a bursary fund for underprivileged kids

I have crowdfunded a parkour gym. It is the only thing I've ever backed, and luckily it got built. Unfortunately I never really had a lot of time to go to it, but it is an awesome gym and I'm happy that I was able to help out the owners.
