[Whack Gaming] The KSP Series #7 - Anomaly 1 mission [DTube]

Hello fellow science lovers and gamers!

We're back with another series and our second mission ever for Kerbals. Excitement is growing and with every successful mission, Kerbals are more motivated to do bigger things. Despite some disagreement between Jeb and Whack Security Crew, the Rover I was built and tested. Every Kerbal held their breath while the mission was underway, hoping that our only woman in Whack Space Crew, Valentina, will come alive well. She is a great asset to our space program and is willing to do anything in the name of science.

Rover I is a great accomplishment by Kerbals. While it wasn't tested before, it surely gave some hope that it will work just fine. Valentina and Bob the scientist happily went on this mission looking for an answer. This anomaly was very close to Whack Space Center and it would be a shame not to research it as soon as possible. Equipped with few science mini labs, including barometer and thermometer, with solar panels and 2 command pods, this rover was the only hope for Kerbals to reach the Anomaly and possibly find some answers.

As you already know from the previous series, Kerbals don't know much about their history and how they ended up here. Sure there are some stories but Kerbals are scientists and scientists need evidence to back up their claims. That's why they want to explore their cosmos and see if they can find the answers. These first missions seem like they are nothing, but they are a big step forward for Kerbals. One day this rover might end up on Mun or Minmus, two moons in Kerbin system.

Everything seemed fine with the rover so Valentina turned on SAS and toggled off brakes to start slowly going forward. The runway was clear so she wanted to test the stability of the rover and get the final green light from Whack Security Crew. Since everything went fine, it was time to get off the runway onto a slight slope. It was still unknown will the gears be ready for grass and dirt but luckily everything was more than good. Rover I started its journey by going no more than 11 m/s, slowly but safely.

While going towards anomaly, Bob collected some valuable scientific data about the soil. It will tell us more about what structures can we build on our planet Kerbin. And finally after few hours, Valentina and Bob arrived at the location and were left baffled about the monument they encountered. The monument was higher than our tallest building in Whack Space Center and on it was a monkey head with a helmet and a sign that said SQUAD.

Valentina and Bob had a lot of questions and they were happy that they could lead this mission because they know how much it will help other Kerbals. This monument is here for a reason and they will try to find it, no matter what. So, Valentina got out of her command pod and walked to the monument, wondering if anything will happen. She surely felt something around her chest but she might think that it's adrenaline caused by witnessing something this strange and unknown.

Surely, she came to her senses quickly and she planted the flag, took a surface sample and got back to her command pod. She told Bob everything she felt and gave him the surface sample so he can start researching it while they go back to Whack Space Center. While going back, she was still trying to find some flaws in the rover but Rover I was more than a good partner. Surely with some modification, it could go up on some moon and try to see how that goes.

Kerbals always recover their vessels but this time it was decided that Rover I must be parked in Whack Space Center. It will surely be used to carry other Kerbals around the center and for many more missions. This is the first rover they built and Kerbals are really proud of it. The next mission will be much bigger, motivation is reaching its next peak and who knows what can happen. Maybe some test run to Kerbol system or an orbit around Kerbin?
