What Is Dark Matter??
Before we understand the concept of dark matter and dark energy. Let's see what matter exactly is??

Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space.
Matter comes in 4 states Solid, Liquid, Gas and Plasma.
In solid molecules are tightly packed and maintain their shape on adding energy like heat and the molecules begain to separate and melts into a shapeless liquid more energy and matter turns into gas super heated gas becomes plasma the fourth state of matter where electrons tear away from their atomic nucleus and float freely around it.
In liquids the molecules are loosely held so they move around freely but had level surface.
In gas molecules nice around randomly in all direction so gas has no shape.
This is how Wikipedia defines matter:
Matter is any substance that has mass and takes up space by having volume. This includes atoms and anything made up of these, but not other energy phenomena or waves such as light or sound

We don't know what dark matter exactly is. As It doesn't interect with electromagnetic force. It does not absorb,reflect or emit light. But we do see its effect very clearly. We can only infer the existence of dark matter from the gravitational effect.
Dark Matter roughly makes upto 27% of the Universe. And the Dark Energy is about 68% of the Universe. While the matter or the normal matter which makes up all stars, planets and galaxies accounts for only 5% of the Universe. 95% of it is the dark Universe made of Dark Matter and Dark Energy.

There is not enough visible matters in the galaxies to provide enough gravity to hold them together. Dark matter is also not made up of black hole.
Dark matter is probably made up of complicated exotic particle that doesn't interect with light or normal matter.
"Dark Matter is also not anti Matter because anti Matter produces unique gamma Ray's when it reacts with normal matter."
So we still have no idea about what dark matter and dark energy is, but we do know that there is something out there which is very strong and powerful and which is pushing the Universe to expand.
