Microscopic Monday- Second Edition- The U.S.S. Minnowprize!
Welcome to the second installment of Microscopic Monday!
We were so excited to see how much everyone enjoyed the first one! We hope you like this one just as much!
Today, we played with some alternate lighting with a couple items because it changed the appearance completely!
Let's get down to it!
Shrink ray activated!
The painting on a boomerang!
I could stare at this all day!
Look at those cute little spots!
The fibrous material of a paper towel!
For some reason this reminds me of spider silk!
LAVA?!
Not lava! It is the jam in a shortbread cookie! A candle and a lighter were used as the alternate lighting! (How freakin' cool is that?)
The etching on a metal souvenir!
Any guesses on what the etching is of?

This is a decorative potpourri!
It is surprisingly interesing to look at! But wait... what is that in the background?
Well, hello again, paper towel!
The metallic printing on a journal!
It definitely looks a lot different up close than we thought it would!

I think this is one of my favorite ones! What was yours?!
Is there anything you would like to see up close and personal?! As long as it isn't a funnel web spider, we can probably do it!

The boomerang needs to get a biopsy done on those spots.
I'd love to see more organic items like moss, whole plant foods under the microscope. I really enjoyed the visual texture in the metal poker formed; my dad was a machinist and I liked to see the footprint of the machines that would bore out their curves and holes from the sold cube of material. Thanks for the fun images!
