The science of motivation

If you feel unmotivated and have a hard time doing your day-to-day tasks, don't worry, you're not the only one. You're part of a club we've all been members of at some point.

The performance of mechanical tasks without nuances or surprises sometimes makes the situation a bit soporific, to help prevent this from happening, the science of motivation was created. This science is in charge of making your tasks more bearable and entertaining.

There are two theories that explain the lack of motivation, the first one being that it's a limited mental resource that's exhausted with time, whatever we do. With the passage of time we get tired of almost everything.

The second theory is more optimistic and indicates that with adequate mental training the motivation can become unlimited and will allow us to enjoy for life with what we do, no matter how small the task.

Motivation and will are two extraordinary work tools to change our lives, pleasure and fun are the best internal stimuli and work much better than any external reward they can offer us for carrying out a task. The key is to look for and find something positive in those situations, challenges or tasks that bore us to death.

The key to motivation is learning to change the emotions we feel under any circumstances and training ourselves to smile in the face of adversity. Instead of looking at what we don't like, let's look for what we like and work to make it grow.
