Now meat causes cancer?
Processed and red meats are high in fat which is one of the important factors when developing a cancer since they increase cell proliferation. Grilled or smoked meats contain heterocyclic amines, aromatic polycyclic hydrocarbons and nitroxides that are carcinogenic agents that alter the composition of DNA.
Recently, a sugar derived from sialic acid found in red meat has been discovered and that humans don't synthesize. The long term exposure of this compound is associated in animal models with a higher incidence of carcinomas and there's an accumulation of this substance in tumors. Other effects due to this sugar have also been observed, such as arteriosclerosis or type 2 diabetes, which are diseases associated with chronic inflammatory processes.
I don't think it causes cancer.
Maybe if we overeat it may cause cancer.

Yep, over-eating is bad by definition, it can cause other ailments that don't have to be cancer. Virtue is the happy medium between two extremes like Aristotle said 😉

Great to see some awareness, there are clear links between altered lipo metabolism and cancers. Cancer cells directly feed on LDL, low denisty lipo proteins found in animals. Many other lipid ratios is important to prevent cancers, so it is undeniable by now!
