Actually, most medicines today stimulate the brains to produce/block certain chemicals/enzymes/proteins which helps the healing process, this stimulation might be done with electric current in the future without the need for medicine. We might be able to kill cancer cells by growing our brain capacity to produce cancer cells killers.
Because you will be giving control to a system, a system designed by malevolent actors (potentially, likely) and co-opted to take control of your very thoughts and movements.

Maybe it could lead to a scientific discovery so advanced and so crazy that current humans would not be able to properly cope or interpret it? What if a technology infinitely more powerful than nuclear technology is found? What if it was possible to wipe out the entire solar system with just a single accident?
