I think time does exist. In as much as it is a measurement of duration, it does exist. Time is a continuum, it is infinite, but the compartmentization into months, days and years are man-made
Oddly enough, tablets tell it was Enki and Marduk who made our calendars and concept for time. Some also attribute Babylon to it, which we know they worshipped many of the Anunnaki gods.
The notion that time is an illusion is a simplistic idiom and ignores the fact that everything changes due to time. Matter is an illusion too as it is made up of mostly empty stuff, but it still exists. Being illusory does not mean it doesn't exist.
There is a huge difference between what I call mechanical time(clock) and experiential time(being). One is an artificial objective constant that is a useful tool. The other is what we experience and is subjective.
Time is not a dimension as physicists are want to believe due to Einsteins Special Relativity. Dimensions have vectors that one can point out. Can anyone point to the vector of time? No.

Time is only a tool of measurement as it says... I think there is a lot more too this though that should be looked into
