How write a chemical formula

I am going to discuss the steps of writing a chemical formula.
A chemical formula is a representation of compounds with the help of symbols.
Following are steps of writing a chemical formula.
1). Symbols of two elements is written in such a way that positive ion are writen first on left side and negative ion are written on right side.
2).The valency of each ion is written on right top corner of the symbol.
3).If both positive and negative valencies are same then they are cancelled and not written in chemical formula.
4).If the valencies are not same then the valency of each ion is brought to lower right corner of other ion by cross exchange method.
5).if ion is radical having some charge then during cross the valency are written in parenthesis.
