Dear Diary: I was Scammed By Poloniex
I am saddened by the loss of some of my funds sent to Poloniex because it didn't reflect in my account when I sent some SBD's to get traded to BTC and withdraw it later. The thing is that Poloniex is not doing a public service announcement that it was having an issue with its wallets for STEEM and SBD's. I am thinking that it got hacked or something. It is just very weird that they are not very keen on customer service that many people are now angry, frustrated, and remorseful about how they do their business.
I am using polonies because it is relatively easy to use. You can see several markets buying and selling at the same time although the graphical charts isn't really that good and has a very delayed loading time. I also have some favorite coins there that I traded before that has a good crazy movements that is why I just I got stuck trading at Poloniex.
Now I won't send my precious SBD's and steem at Poloniex and so should you. They are a scamming thief and must stop operations because they can't deliver services that needs trust and confidence. Imagine all the money hat they lost or robbed from the people. I am saddened by this issue and definitely is done for with Poloniex.

It has happened in the past and back then the people ended up being credited their Steem or SBD but it took sometimes.

You might never get your funds back. There are millions being held hostage this is not a small problem with a few people affected. There are literally millions being stolen... MILLIONS!

Anyone defending poloniex can't be trusted. This is huge and people should not sweep this under the rug. Steemit should get involved at some point and shut down the account period!
4 days ago I sent a big SBD number to poloex :(;) But I realized, I did not get SBD in my wallet .. Did I lose all that money ?? I waited 4 days. . @teemsteem .. Can you explain me? I think you are experienced😞
Probably no. It happened in the past with Polo and it took almost of month if not more to be resolved. In the end people were credited all their Steem and SBD but I can't promised anything.
This is really bad. I hope the money will come back to me. If I lose forever, do I have a way to contact poloniex?
I am very new to the whole cryptocurency thing and this isn't the first time I have heard something bad about Poloniex. I couldn't even imagine investing nothing but time and money to build up my SBD/Steem only to have Poloniex do what they do and all of a sudden its missing.
I hope they are able to assist you and compensate you some how because that is just horrible. They are coming off as some shady bookie at some back alley casino!

I have tried since June to set up an account on Poloniex. They did not like my photos to authenticate myself, so I submitted a new one. My account has been locked in review mode ever since. I never contacted them, and they never bothered to contact me either. Not sure why they are so terrible. They just are.
If its in the blockchain, they will probably will send you your funds. Al tough they did it with me like teamsteem said, it will take a while.
Bitslacks aka Bittrex isn;t that good either. Im waiting for 2 month to enhance my account. And still waiting. So i cant withdraw a dime...

The funds are in the blockchain because I see it,and it is not only me that had the issue.
Damn that sucks brother, hope you get it back.
I guess we have to check Poloniex first if the wallet for the coin we are transferring is available because I noticed they put "Temporarily unavailable" to few wallets sometimes and becomes available again after couple of days. 🙂
Yeah I think we just have to wait teamsteem told me that it had happened before and people got credited back their funds so we will have to see.
I plan to exchange my Steem/SBD to Doge/LTC first and compare the fees thru Coinpot. 😊

Yeah but the blockchain fee when transferring BTC to external wallets is grrrrrrrrrrrrr so I want to combine/consolidate Steem/SBD to my earnings from moon and bitfun. 🙂
I was comparing prices Steem to USD vs SBD to USD yesterday and there's a big difference if we use SBD to buy Steem. I have to compare Steem/SBD to Coinpot fees from BlockTrades later to see where we could get higher NET. 😊
