Be Safety Conscious.
One of our primary responsibilities is to keep our environment safe and clean for continuous peaceful in-habitation. Our environment includes the places we live, work and play and subdivided into our homes, offices, communities, schools, and public spaces. Ensuring a safe environment is a key priority in ensuring productivity and minimizing the risk of harm, accidents and injuries. Being safety conscious is being alert to dangers and taking necessary precautionary action to prevent such dangers. Most accidents in our homes or offices could be traced to carelessness. A simply act of leaving doors open, or leaving objects in unsafe places can cause accidents. Safety information and precautions must be communicated members of family and workplace. To be safety conscious we must understand the reason behind certain harmful occurrences, study frequent occurrences, and communicate precautionary information to others. Make safety tools such as fire extinguisher, first aid kit, smoke alarm, etc. available in homes, schools and offices. When living with children always stay close to them to keep an eye on what they are doing and put away harmful things such as chemicals, drugs and sharp objects. Children are innocent and act according to their feelings and desire, one has to teach them to differentiate between harmful things and natural ones. Use protective equipment such as gloves, eye protective googles, safety boots during work. Do not leave electrical outlet exposed, and keep your floor dry. Remember to have a safety emergency plan just in case. When your environment is safe, your mind will also be at rest.
