Beautiful Russia. The Kamchatka Peninsula. Part 1
The Kamchatka Peninsula
And immediately we moved to the other end of Russia
Kamchatka is a land of contrasts, quite unlike that of Central Russia. This is the edge of volcanoes and glaciers, hot springs and boiling geysers, swift rivers, lakes and waterfalls. There are 414 glaciers and 160 volcanoes, 29 of which are active.
The territory of the Kamchatka region covers the Kamchatka Peninsula and the adjacent northern mainland, as well as the Commander and Karaginsky Islands. The peninsula is washed in the west by the Sea of Okhotsk, in the northeast - by the Bering Sea and the Pacific Ocean in the southeast. These seas are cold, stormy, the ice rests on them for 7-8 months a year.
The difference with Moscow in time: 9 hours ahead of schedule!
So. Unique photos from all corners of the Internet are collected. Enjoy watching!

Carefully take a closer look! Meteorites and killer whales;)
Mutnovsky volcano (2322 m) is active to this day.
In March 2002 there was a series of explosions and hot steam formed a huge funnel.
It was flooded with water, and gave life to a beautiful lake with a diameter of 250 - 300 meters.

Caldera Uzon in Kamchatka is a unique natural monument and an object of biogeocenosis. There is a rich flora and fauna here, but local lakes are especially impressive. One of them is filled with weak sulfuric acid, around the others mercury and sulfur are emitted. Minerals are formed just before our eyes. The most interesting is that these lakes are inhabited, in sulfuric live bacteria that produce acid, in others live the archaea - one of the oldest forms of life, and thiobacteria.
Kamchatka is very big! More than Japan itself and in one sitting everything can not be looked at! Coming soon will be part 2

I searched this vk.com with hashtags (and spent a lot of time searching for it), so some photos can not have an author or forgot to specify it. Since the images from the social network, there were work no links to the authors. Who it was? - I put the names of author. You must understand this!
And read this is about plagiarism
As long you link the images source / links is fine.
Looking forward for you next post
