Running for Neo #1 (Saigon Vietnam 17 KM/USD)
Dollar Cost Averaging Neo for every kilometer!
In 201 days I will be running the Marathon of Berlin on the 19th of September. Today I have started my official preparations. As an experiment I will be using a variant on dollar cost averaging, at which I will invest 1 dollar for each kilometer that I run in preparation of the marathon in both NEO and GAS. This will therefore be both a blog of both my runs as well as an exercise to see what kind of investment performance can be achieved by dollar cost averaging Neo.
I will be doing a post for each run to review and invest the amount of kilometers that I ran. Please follow if you'd like to stay up to date.
Additionally any Steem Dollars received via these posts will also be put into the running for Neo experiment as well.
Boston Marathon Qualifier time 03:05:00
As already introduced in my earlier introduction post. I am an expat who has lived the last few years in various countries in South East Asia. I lived in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia as well as in Thailand and since August 2017 I am living in Vietnam. Therefore, most of my runs will be across the Asia region. For the marathon I have a BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal), as I aim to run a Boston Qualifier Time at the marathon of Berlin. This is the time needed to apply for the Boston marathon, which a later hope to run. For males this is within 3 hours and 5 minutes. Currently this is far beyond my reach as the fastest marathon I have ever run was the one of Paris in 2015 at which I ran in 03:53:16 meaning a long way to go.
First run of the challenge
To start of my my first run was today here in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). The running pace 5'52'' /km and the time was 1:39, definitely a long way to go until Boston :)
So we are starting off with 17 kilometers meaning 17 usd of NEO and 17 usd of GAS.

Below the current prices of NEO and GAS at which which the first purchase will be done. The price of NEO is at $115.87 USD and the prices of GAS is at $35.38.

Ah the elusive BQ...I've been chasing that one for years now. The closest I've come was running 3:22:40 at Cincinnati, Ohio back in 2012...still close to 18 minutes short. At least now I'm in an older age bracket so I just have to run a 3:10 to qualify...still a fast marathon.
Best of luck to you! You still have a long time to train so hopefully that will allow you to get to the speed and endurance level you need to hit that 3:05 time.

Invest only in neo and it will make you gas. Why dont try smartcash. Unlike neo holding smartcash makes you smartcash. Not neo make you gas.
Haha, got some already. I will later be adding the generated GAS from NEO as well.
