RE: In our Running ABC's, U is for Ultramarathon
Yeah I know what you mean.and I am definitely no expert. I have run a 44km and hopefully running my first 50km later this year. I am planning on walking the uphills and going out there an enjoying it as much as possible.

Cool, I'm looking forward to your post on that :) I will be running the same 33 km race again this year.
Where did you run your 44km?
and which 50km are you looking at?
Depending where it is, plan on walking the flats and downhills as well. ;-)
I usually power up the hills and bomb the downhills and end up walking when it's flat. But then, no-one ever said I was smart.
Hey @trevor.george I did the Great Ocean Road Marathon a couple of years a go...It is 44km but they also give you an official marathon time as well. I am looking at doing the Tarawera 50km Ultra in New Zealand in November this year(As long as I can stay injury free).
Regards @run.vince.run
Nice :-) Good luck for Tarawera. From what I hear it is an awesome race.
