Meet the Four Role Model Steemians who won a 500 SP Delegation
With more than 160 posts using the #rolemodel tag this decision is one of the hardest I´ve ever had to make, and I couldn´t make up my mind - it is already 2 am here and I started to check out the posts yesterday, I even did a Livestream yesterday of the decision making -, there were too many incredible entries from astounding Steemians and I wish I could delegate to most of them, but after some thinking, I have decided.
First of all, let me tell you some reasons that played a big role while deciding who should be getting the delegation. As you already know, the reason why I want to delegate Steem Power is, I already have a big delegation from @blocktrades and I am using it as best as I can to spread my Voting Power as far and wide as I can. If you win or not, this is not the last contest I will organize. There has been 3 previous contests sponsored by @blocktrades where we were able to give more than 2,000 USD (based on the SBD and Steem Prize during the contests) and there will be more so, if you like what we are doing, vote for @blocktrades as [witness here](https://steemian.info/witnesses).
The reasons that played a big role while deciding were:
- There were a lot of South East Asian Steemians joining the contest and I have to say, some of them were amazing! Thank you so much for being such great role model! One of the most respected and admirable Steemians, @surpassinggoole, is already supporting the SEA communities - kudos to you my friend - and I believe the delegation will come handy for other communities that are not as lucky as those who Surpassinggoogle is supporting.
- There were some entries from people who are part of #promo-steem or promo-mentors. I have to say I would love to help more this awesome initiatives, but from the time being, I am already in talks with @futurethinker about supporting this project by following their vote, which means some of my Voting Power will be used for Steemians who are part of this community.
- A bunch of Steemians who joined the contest are very new. I couldn´t be happier to see your posts, I even went into some of your profiles and could read your introduction posts. Believe me, this is not the first delegation contest I will organize, I hope you are still around when I make it, for the time being, I want a bit more experienced people to delegate to, not because I think you are not able to use it wisely, but because the Steemcosystem is a bit complicated to understand that it takes a while to learn all the factors that come into play when using your Voting Power.
- I am very proud to have seen some Spanish community entries - this is my community - and altough I would like to support you more, I am already supporting it with all my heart via being part of the @cervantes community, running the @lince account and following the vote of @reveur.
- I could see some users who already have some considerable SP and, as I said, I want to spread the Voting Power accross the Steemit worldwide community. This doesn´t mean you don´t deserve a delegation, it means that there are some Role model steemians that 500SP could literally change the course and future of the users that are part of it.
- I read some users who want to support poetry. I want you to reach out to @gmuxx or @rhondak, two of my friends who are running @thewritersclub. I am already sponsoring - along @gmuxx - a weekly poetry contest. I am sure you will love it there, it is the best writing community I´ve ever had the luck to be part of.

For those who didn´t win, I wish I could delegate everyone who joined this contest, sadly my Voting Power is limited. Know that this decision was very hard and I will continue to make more contests to try and reward where a vote is deserved.
I started following some of you because your content is amazing and definitely deserves more recognition. Keep on building your communities, keep on writing, continue helping new comers, don´t stop to be the awesome Steemians you are now. You never know when someone else decides to delegate more Steem Power... and I know you could be one of those receiving it.
Thank you so much @anomadsoul. I read this post with almost teary eyes. It does feel good that among all this options of people you could have decided to choose you instead picked my community and I. For that I say a very big "thank you" to you for your good heart. Like I pointed out in the post, a thousand persons may have SP but only people with good heart will want to share it with others to really affect lives where it matters the most.
I also reach out to other steemit brethren that won includng @ewuoso, @cranium, @sharoonyasir; you all are awesome! And for the other 150+ steemians that participated; I say "Kudos". Hopefully you will get SP from people that matter as you keep doing good.

. Though I'm honestly a bit bummed by the fact I didn't win but I'm sure the poetic-surge will surge on and we'll keep working hard to help all poets around here on steemit.... maybe the winners deserve it a lot more than we do.
I'm quite happy one of the winners is @ewuoso, a personal friend and mentor of mine. You made a good decision by giving your delegation to him. I can promise he's going to use it well. He has a large heart and is very selfless. I know him well and I know his plans. I'm a part of his community, the steembees, and we're doing great things there. This delegation will only further his plans.
I'm also happy for @nairadaddy and the #air-clinic... I've heard about the good job they do on discord . I really wish to be part of them but my phone is badly outdated and can't log in on discord.
I don't really know the other winners but I'm sure they're great people and they equally deserve the sp delegated to them.
@anomadsoul is really doing a lot for the community and I'm very thankful to him and to @blocktrades for delegating the sp with which has been supporting a lot of people to him.

We only setup Discord today...still learning and we have a lot of learning to do. Each day is a new challenge, which always turns into opportunity. I was in office when I read Sharoon’s and my name in your post and immediately called her, she didn’t pick the call, might be sleeping. Now when I am home, I am reading this fantastic post and very very happy to see that you supported my project by delegating your SP to Sharoon. This will definitely be the first step towards building a project I am dreaming to save our children.

@anomadsoul i have been waiting for the results and its finally here. I can see that it was a difficult decision to make and the winners that emerged have proved to be worthy ambassadors in their respective communities.

It was a great exercise and although Ohana did not win but it brought a lot of us closer as they read how much we want to care and nurture them so that when they are ready to swim farther streams they will have the confidence that they can do it and know that no mattter how long or far they go they will have always have a home with us, a family.
