Introduction |
Meanwhile, some music for you to enjoy as you read. This piece is part of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, particular the first of the 4 violin concertos, called Spring.

Long Bus Ride |
The bus headed out and go up to the flyover.
Going down on the right, there is a Burmese Buddhist temple.
Further along, of the left is another religious buiiding, Novena Church. This Catholic Church is under massive construction and has been closed for a few years already.

The only certainty in life is death and taxes. Here is taxes. The building which house the tax authority.
This is a church.
The bus is now going around Newton Circus. There is a famous food centre near here.
This is an expensive hotel, Goodwood Park.
In front, we are turning right into Orchard Road which is the shopping district of Singapore. The prominent building is ION Orchard, a shopping center with many shops selling luxury branded items.
Turning into Orchard Road.
The gantry which has the letters ERP means Electronic Road Pricing. Some people said it means Everyday Rob People. That’s the mechanism for deducted toll fee from vehicles passing through.
This is is first bus stop at Orchard Road.

Cool pics! I have never been on a double decker before!
The double decker bus move not not as fast but there are more seats upstairs. Interestingly, the other nice double decker bus is one which ride on when I went on a tour in Europe several years ago. The lower deck is mainly storage for luggage and all the tourists seats upstairs. The driver was below and I think there were one or two more seats. That was close to 20 years ago. Since then this kind of travel buses are also quite common in Singapore and some are used to ply between Singapore and Malaysia.
