Anime doesn't get the attention and respect it deserves. But that's okay, it's not everyones cup of tea. But it should be given credit where its due.

Anime might not be for everyone but it's safe to say almost everyone has watched a movie or two. Here are some movies that got their content from animes and have been live adapted

1. DEATH NOTE

Death Note is mind fuck at it's best. It's a thriller. This is one of the best to get into if you view anime as childish. It depicts a battale of wit between two prodigies, Light Yagami, a prestige student and "L", a detective that only solves the most complicated crime in Tokyo.

The story begins when Light Yagami stumbles on a book titled "Death Note" In his school yard. Reluctant at first, he gives it a try and to his dismay, it works. The book corrupts his soul and he then refers to himself as god. "L" then steps in to solve the mystery of criminals dying all over the world.

ITS ADAPTATION

Death note has had 5 japanese adaptations. But the recent one in the making is by NETFLIX and it's looking hot!!

2. GHOST IN THE SHELL

Ghost in the Shell is a classic anime, there's a lot of respect for it. It was first serialized in 1989.

In a world of cyborg-human hybrids. A cyborg federal agent Maj. Motoko Kusanagi is left stunned when she discovers that a hacker named"The Puppet Master" illegally hacks into the computerized minds of cyborg-human hybrids, modifying their identities. This makes her question her existence. She and her partner chase down the hacker but her curiosity leads her to an unforseen direction.

IT'S LIVE ADAPTATION

This movie was released in 2017. Scarlett Johansson plays the lead role.

3. Samurai X

Samura X is one of my personal favorite. It was one of the first anime i watched and I really enjoyed it.

The story begins when a former assassin from the Bakumatsu, known as Hitokiri Battosai dissapears to become Himura Kenshin, a wandering samurai. He tries to find peace. He meets people who he cares about and hold dearly in his heart. But like everyone, his past comes to bite him. The action, comedy, and drama sets a good standard for other anime and mangas.

4.ATTACK ON TITAN

“On that day, mankind received a grim reminder. We lived in fear of the Titans and were disgraced to live in these cages we called walls.”

On 2009, Attack On Titan came in like a storm and stunned the anime community.

Humankind face extinction and are trapped inside walls. Humans are turned into secondary consumers in the food chain by the titans, eaten like livestock.

The story begins when the main character Eren Jaegar as a kid witnesses his mother being eaten alive by a titan, powerless. A few years later, he and his friends joins the military. Eren swears to wipe out the titans.

The story has a lot of twist and turns. It's also a mind fuck and the viewers are always kept guessing. And the action is jaw dropping. Sweet sweet gore.
