Who Is The Best Influence?

Galatian 5:16 I say then: "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."

Verse: 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

Verse: 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Deciding to allow oneself to be influenced by the Spirit of Jesus Christ is the best influence anyone can have in life. The Holy Spirit is the best influence, He is the Boss, the CEO and the Director of the House of God.

We are the house where God lives, through His Word and by His Spirit. In 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 and 2 Corinthians 7:1; we learned that when we give ourselves to Christ when we make Him the Director, the CEO of what we do, we will be connected to the One who made us; then we are wired in a unique way. When we are wired, we are no longer ourselves in ideas and in behaviour but totally absorbed into the ideas and ways of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Everything becomes different when we have a relationship with the Spirit of God. We think differently, we dream differently and we have the privilege of allowing the Creator of all things assist us in all we do. What an influence!

We must be under the government and guidance of the Holy Spirit. If you are under the influence of the Spirit of God, He will be your Guide, Teacher, Counsellor and Comforter.

Packaging is deceptive. In Psalm 12:2, we are taught that everyone lies to his neighbours. But, as a Christian, you cannot be deceived because you are under the influence of the Spirit of God.

As a Christian, the Holy Spirit enters into our personalities and we become a new person. He completely changes our lives - this is called being converted or born again.

Indeed the Holy Spirit is the best influence.
