Understanding – Luke 24:44-45
Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.
Luke 24:44-45 - He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.
We see Yeshua told them all that was going to happen ahead of time but they didn’t get it. They just didn’t quite fully grasp the whole meaning of what He said. Ever been there? Of course. We all have.
How many times have we read a verse or two, ones that we’ve read multiple times before, and then suddenly we get a completely new revelation from those verses? We get all excited because we never saw that understanding before. Then we think “Man. Why didn’t I ever see that before?”
Simple. He opened our eyes to it. It’s important to seek the Father in reading His Word. Don’t read to get knowledge. Read to get closer to Him. Don’t read to prove yourself right. Read to grow in Him.
When you read your Bible, pray He opens your understanding. Just be ready for that understanding to rock your world.

This is so true! I have the same experience nearly every day! The Word is surely “living and active.”
Everyday we must read HIS word and before I do I try to remember to ask that the Father reveal what He needs to reveal to me today! Thanks for leaving a comment!
So true!! I have thought that so often lately. How could I have gone to church for 30 years and never caught that? Great post.
Had this same kind of conversation this last Sabbath. The verses have always been there but the veil was over our eyes to see the true meaning of them. One of the examples that was brought up was Genesis 7:2 that says..."You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female;" WAIT A MINUTE!!! I thought they all went in 2 by 2?!? How did Noah know about clean and unclean animals when we don't see that in writing until Leviticus 11?
I know it. Gods instructions have always been. Veil over our eyes is a great way of putting it
