The fear we have of things
We can ask everyone, and I mean everyone, what they are scared of... they will give you an answer.
One's answer might not be as bad as the others, but everyone is scared of something. Even if they will not answer you. Their inner thought will tell them if they are scared.
People will say stuff like, spiders, snakes, thunder,, the dark, etc. There is a time in everyone's life, where they admit to being scared of something. People are even scared of death, because they are not prepared yet to die. They wait for something magical to happen before they wake up and realize the reality that they aren't ready to go. So my opinion, get ready now!
Some can grow out of it, others let that take their life over. If that ever happened to you, you will know the feeling. You just think, why was I always afraid of that? Then you laugh and it's over.
But my stepfather always tells me about his stories of the past, and believe, some of them are really hard listening to... It's by Gods' grace that he is still on this earth.
The one thing he always tells me is... He fears nothing and no one but God. We forget about God in situations where we tend to struggle or get scared in situations where we can't even think of what will happen. We forget God is with us, and then we think we can get far without him.
You shall fear only the LORD your God; and you shall worship Him and swear by His name.
We are nothing without God, and by Gods' grace we can do anything that he wants us to do. God is the beginning, and the end. He is a living God.
So if you fear, do not fear, because there is always someone who is with you. In darkness and or in light. You can't see Him. But if you believe, you will know that He is there. And with belief, you will overcome any fear that tends to get between your path.
...that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, so that you may fear the LORD your God forever.
We have a powerful psalm for those moments in which we feel fear or fear in any situation; The Lord is my Shepherd, Psalm 23.
