We all have needs and it varies based on our personality, our experiences and upbringing. Some have need for acceptance, some for intimacy, and others for companionship, encouragement, affirmation, honesty, communication, trust, security, stability, romance, empathy, personal time together; where you just stay together with no external interference and not even your phone, admiration and even domestic support. In a relationship, we should recognize the need of our partner and seek to fulfill them and it goes both ways. If you can meet your partner’s needs, then you can make him or her happy and when you make such person happy, there is no limit to what they can do for you and I repeat, it should go both ways.
You cannot overlook the importance of finance in your relationship. There was a joke making rounds back then; ”It takes finance to run romance” and ”Without money, there is no honey”. Money is important as you both need to build together and plan together.
You can both make it easier when any money that comes into your hand, you can tag it. Tagging it means you already plan together what you both intend to use it for. Money can be slippery in nature and when certain amount comes into your hands and you didn’t use it for something already planned and thought out, you will wonder what you did with it when you finally finish the money. Recklessness in finance can be a real threat to your spouse. Watch it.
A lot of people go into a relationship with their heart rather than their head. It is okay to be adventurous and love people regardless but you can never ignore the place of courtship. This is the essence of courtship; when you date anyone, you should watch out for the warning signs. Watch out for the things you are not okay with and try to bring it to your partner’s notice in a way that would make them want to listen to you. Always seek to address the situation and not the person.

I love your view in the first paragraph, though, we might have our individual differences due to upbringing, environment and opinions about what but we won't let it cloud our judgement on how we are going to relate with the people we are I relationship with or called our friends. There is nothing like something for nothing, you must be ready to give if you want to receive, meaning that we must try and play along by considering other other person not just me me me like some people used to say which is what is killing us gradually in Nigeria; everybody with his own opinion and not willing to learn for other.
Without money there won't be planning and nothing like relationship when the 'main' is not available.
