Introducing the Jahm Whitelist

in #reggaesteem5 years ago (edited)

Today I created the account @jahm.whitelist and will be administering it once there are enough worthy posters on https://www.reggaesteem.io

Getting on the Jahm Whitelist is a privilege, not a right; only consistently good content creators who tag appropriately and make posts related to Reggae or Jamaican culture will go on the Jahm Whitelist.

The purpose of this list is to provide a source for people who want to automatically curate the #jahm or #ReggaeSteem tags and don't want to accidentally upvote low-quality posts. Upvoting low-quality posts can attract flags and takes rewards away from more deserving content creators.

Ways to Get on the Jahm Whitelist

  1. Produce Quality Content: Quality Content means putting in your own effort; copy-paste links to other peoples work saying "I Love Bob Marley" will not get you on this list. Be a creator.
  2. Produce Relevant Content: Reggae Music, music from Jamaica, made by a Jamaican or that is heavily influenced by Jamaica is the gold standard. Writing about Jamaica, Jamaican food, places, people, artists, products and culture is also relevant. Writing about something that could be from anywhere else or that relates to everywhere, in general, is not relevant.
  3. Put in Time: You won't get on this list until you have made at least 10 decent #ReggaeSteem or #Jahm posts. Posts should be at least 100 words or take an hour to make. These aren't hard guidelines but you get the idea, low effort = no whitelist.
  4. Be A Professional: If you are a verified Reggae Artist, Jamaican Artist, Resort Owner, etc. feel free to apply without necessarily meeting the other guidelines. You may not have the time to blog and knowledge of Steem which is understandable.
  5. Show Dedication to Jahm: If you are selling every single piece of Jahm you get as soon as you get it, not curating and never commenting but expect the community to upvote your every post, forget it! This Whitelist is for people who are adding to ReggaeSteem.

I hope you get the picture, this list is neither exhaustive nor complete and if you are producing lousy content once you are on the whitelist, you will be removed. Feel free to reach out to me in the ReggaeSteem general discord https://discord.gg/PHEN5kD or in the comments below to share your thoughts.

I think your cat initiative is excellent for my reggaesteem has been a challenge but it has allowed me to strengthen myself and make a greater effort thanks to your criticisms jaaajja I love Bob sings nice his lyrics are very interesting .. but if you have to try they should do more publish about the correct use of the labels the meaning of each thing because I am very confused some time can also change other users ..

The whitelist is for people who aren't confused. Education doesn't happen overnight.

if it is correct I understand ..

Hi @mariluna! The 5th point of @crypticat's 'whitepaper' states.

Show Dedication to Jahm: If you are selling every single piece of Jahm you get as soon as you get it, not curating and never commenting but expect the community to upvote your every post, forget it!

I think you might have stepped on the wrong paw. If someone donates you a significant portion of JAHM-token, they might expect you to use it respectfully.
Also, why would you not even consider staking 'some' of your 'earned' JAHM? So you can also help others strengthen.
Did you know that some people invested quite a lot of their own resources (read: monies) into this tribe? I understand you might not be able to pay for JAHM, really trust me I get that.
But being greedy and transfer INSTANTLY everything you earn to your wallet might put other people against you.
I will not upvote any of your posts as long as you don't even stake half of what you 'earn'. I really think that being PART of this community must give you a little bit more joy in life, than, lets say new earrings from STEEM.

  • This is what they call: GIVING BACK

If you curate other people too, they will love you back. It is not that hard nor confusing. My Free99

Good afternoon @whatsthatcryptom when I refer to a confusing era because when I entered this community I did not have very clear labels until @ cryptocat explained that the excessive use of a label can be considered abuse, something I did not know and I repeated and said as to spend The coins are not considered disrespect to the tribe if I buy food with them since I live in Venezuela and the country situation is not the best but if there is any way to help others I have no problem doing it thanks ..
