Steemit Rap Community aka the cut is in danger!!!
As bitcoin is on the rise the rap community on steemit (the cut) is falling apart. I've been noticing this for awhile now but wasn't sure if i was just tripping. Today I was talking to @geechidan and i'm quote him here "Got to get "the cut" back live. Shit has been kind of dead." So when i heard this i realized i wasn't tripping and that something needed to be said. The first step to recovery is to admit there is a problem. The problem is the cut is being lost and it needs to be recovered! For me i knew something was wrong when the homie @voyceatlas(along with @musicevolving) tried to do something good for the community with the #got16s challenge. When it got to the third episode @voyceatlas stated "If we get more than 10 people for this next episode I will drop the submission link." (It wasn't an unreasonable number) Only five mc's agreed to take part, WTF! Then last week only three mc's took part in @termitemusic's Worldwide MC Cypher Jam. With @rondonson's rap challenge taking a breather right now, these two challenges are like community centers. With one having to shut down because of lack of participants. When i first joined steemit i was amazed by the rap community, the cut was deep, but now it's like someone poured peroxide, rubbed neosporin, and then stitched it up! Well i'ma cut the stitches off the cut and pour tap water straight from flint, michigan. Infect it so we can get sick with it! So i got some tips on how to make the cut deeper and stronger. First of let's break down what a Community is. Commune-a group of people living together and sharing possessions and responsibilities! Unity-the state of being united or joined as a whole!
Now for the tips-If we're gonna achieve unity everyone in the cut must follow each other, in order to keep up with everyone's projects.
To support everyone's projects in the cut. We do this by upvoting, resteeming, and leaving comments.
Help reopen the #got16s challenge so the cut can have another "community center."
Enter all the challenges you can. I know life is busy and shit happens, i know this becuz i have a family and a full time job, i know some others in the cut do to. Just try your best to compete.

One last thing, im'a set up a challenge that i'll host. It'll be called "What would you have spit". Where every two weeks i'll pick a classic song (mostly 90's maybe some late 80's) i'll upload the instrumental and you record yourself over the beat, spitting "What you would have spit" as if it was your song! I'll post more details about it later this week.

Wow, that is one heck of a setup you got there. I wouldn't even know what to do with like half of it. Cool to see you so focused on it though, you look like you are in the zone.
Yea, there's definitely a lot of buttons, mics, speakers, pianos, keyboards and guitars! A musicians dream, and you gotta stay focused in the studio.
Wow. Well I am not much of a music maker myself lol. Vocals? sure. Others? no haha. I think I would drive myself crazy trying to do that. Cool that you love it so much though.
How do you usually record?
Well my set up is nowhere near as fancy or plentiful since I do not play any instruments. Currently I record on my Blue Yeti microphone and right into my imac using Logic Pro X. It is doing me well so far. I do need to add a pop filter and a boom arm soon though I think

Whatever anyone wants to sing. No specific genre, I've heard some stuff people entered I've never even heard from other countries so if you wanna do a rap song by all means. Don't think anyone has yet.

Karaoke is mine, Cypher is his. Go to @killerwhale and look for the karaoke. I crosspost with open mic and a dance contest already. Figure bring termite in since he been so consistent. Needs more exposure. I probably do some sort of hip hop specific one too in the future, haven't fully thought it out yet.
