I so enjoyed this post. And such a tater as I've not seen before. Looks to be from another planet. A cross between alien with a huge mind, and deep sea creature of the sand. And such a fitting end for such a grand specimen...to become one with the compost, and start all over again. I can only imagine what will come out next time, as the potatoe life turns.
