Buckwheat beet balls with homemade gluten free wraps
Howzit going steemit peeps, I have been experimenting again and this will be my Tasty Tuesday entry. I had a go of making my own wraps from scratch which meant making my own flour.
Ingredients
550g organic rolled oats
350ml warm water
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 tablespoon oil
Pinch of salt
I made some dough rolled them out and fried in a pan.
Then to make the balls I cooked beetroot and buckwheat, if you have seen any of my other recipes you would have seen I always keep the water from the beetroot for soup.
Here is the recipe if you are interested

Ingredients for buckwheat beet balls
3 beetroots cooked
250g buckwheat
1 onion
1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
Pinch of salt and pepper
First I put everything except the buckwheat in the food processor.
So I cooked the buckwheat and put it in the oven for 15 minutes to dry out a little bit.
Then all into a bowl and mix.
Then dump a little in some crumbs.
Then onto a tray and bake.
Then it was just a matter of slicing up some tomatoes, pickle, avo, carrot and spinach with some of my mustard and lemon humus I made yesterday.
Well that is my latest creation, thanks for checking it out
Awesome treat for real foodies

Looks pretty good though i would load it with oyster mushrooms instead of beets.

Maybe next time 😉
Awesome! How tedious was it to harvest the grain and hull it? What process did you use? I want to start growing my own grains in our food forest this year.
I didn't grow the oats, I just turned raw oats into flour, but the oats are locally farmed
A work of art my friend! Lunch at your house always looks bomb.
Thanks 😊
Very creative in the kitchen @gguy773, this looks awesome! Those buckwheat beet balls must have tasted so delicious, at a quick glance I almost thought you'd made meat balls, but of course I know you're vegan, so that thought went out the window ;)
Ha ha, if I made meat balls my wife would chuck them out the window, lol 😂. Thanks for checking it out.
