Understanding Anxiety Disorders and How It Affects People
Are you anxious? That's okay. It can help you to avoid possible failures. Do you get anxious several times a day without any reasonable reason why you are anxious? Then that's not okay.
I knew some people who gets overly anxious until they act irrationally. Initially, I got irritated with their behavior. However, awareness struck in. I became more understanding on people going through extreme anxiety.
So what is anxiety disorder?
An anxiety disorder is a medical condition characterised by persistent, excessive worry.

If you find yourself getting extremely worried which even includes anxiousness about what will happen in the future, then you are likely suffering from anxiety disorder.
I know this person who was extremely worried even at his early age. He's afraid of losing his mom. He also tries to avoid doing such things because of beliefs that something wrong will happen.
How about OCD?
This is very common to people with anxiety disorder. Some even counts while doing something or even when climbing the stairs. They even believe that a certain number can cause bad luck so they try not to end counting at that certain number. Weird? It might sound it is. But seriously, it is nothing funny. Such people may be suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, in short, it's OCD.
I also a knew a mother who's excessively afraid that a burglar might come in their house. Thus, she either repeatedly checking the door if it is locked or telling her kids persistently to check the door. Is it normal? it isn't. That may be OCD. Another example is excessive hand washing due to beliefs of germs may come in and cause some diseases. It's easy to track some people in such behavior. Funny? Might be. But it's not a laughable matter. OCD comes in different behaviors, so we should be aware about it. In fact, many people who has OCD at an early age never knew about it until they had grown up.
Separation Anxiety- A Common Anxiety Disorder
Are you worried of getting separated from a person you are extremely attached with? It may be you bestfriend, boyfriend or girlfriend, you parents or the entire family? This can be separation anxiety.
I often have separation anxiety. I even experienced it during my first day of school when I was a child. I have been crying (without sound) the entire morning class. It is my first time to get separated from any family member of mine. As the classes ended and my brother fetched me, I stopped crying. The passing of my parents even saddened me a lot, and I admit, losing them is hard to bear.
Different phobias
Phobias from events, situations, events, things, etc is a kind of anxiety disorder. You tend to avoid those things because of your fear that something wrong might happen. This is actually very common to a lot of people.
Anxiety disorder and its link to depression
According to specialists, anxiety disorder was linked to depression. Hence, people suffering from anxiety disorder are likely to to experience depression as well as intense fear.
