What is dyscalculia? Causes-Diagnosis-Symptoms.
The Dyscalculia
It is a learning disorder with a specific difficulty that affects the abilities of mathematics and arithmetic, it occurs at a very early stage its first symptom is in the learning of the digits.
In her physiology, a deficit in visual perception or orientation problems may influence her. Many times experts define it as "mathematical dyslexia" is a pathology that does not depend on the intelligence of the child.
Its difficulty begins in the ability to interpret knowledge and numerical symbols such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Dyscalculia in children affects and confuses numbers and signs without finding results when performing mental calculations and mathematical calculations.

Many investigations using neuroimaging techniques, are techniques that allow to visualize in real time the brain activity and the central nervous system representing observations that the deficit associated with dyscalculia are found in the brain module that is responsible for the numerical processing that is located in the lobe parietal of the brain, in other areas of the brain the pre-Fontal cortex the cingulate, the posterior part of the temporal lobe.
Other causes are due to a congenital disorder, in a few words in some cases parents with children with Dyscalculia at some point presented difficulties in learning mathematics.
There is a cognitive deficit preventing access to information stored in the brain, in cases children with Dyscalculia have a deficiency in a network of neural connections that block easy access to numerical information.
As many disorders are related to each other, this is one of the cases related to Dyslexia that have to do with brain alterations and failures of neurological maturation, there are some relations with the environment to exposure of the mother to alcohol and drugs in the uterus or premature birth.

Its main characteristics in the symptoms are associated with mathematics, some of them vary according to the age of the child.
It is detected in the initial phase (preschool stage) the child begins to develop some of their skills to learn arithmetic and endures in childhood adolescence can reach its adult stage.
Children in their development is growing these difficulties, they become more remarkable, the essential thing is to avoid waiting to reach failure and then act.
Some symptoms can act in the following way:
Difficulty learning to count.
Impediment associated with numerical understanding.
Not being able to classify and measure: for example connect the number "2" with possibilities of having 2 pencils 2 books.
Difficulty recognizing the number 4 with the concept "four".
Write wrong numbers when copying them or in a dictation.Confuse, for example, the number 3 with 8, 9 with 6, or Write the symbols flipped.
Sound errors with the number "six" with the "seven" by how it sounds.
They find it difficult to recognize and classify objects by their size and shape. It is difficult for them to recognize and classify objects because of their size and shape.

Quite an informative post. I still have some questions. Numbers and counting of objects comes from our brains ability to process visually gathered information. For example, first we see that something is more in quantity than other which is visual information, and then the question of how much more arises which leads to our ability to count. So, are the brains of kids suffering from discalculia unable to process visual information properly? And if yes, does this problem also show up as dyslexia and any other issues?
if brother, all the faults are in the parietal lobe of the brain that is responsible for language, writing and mathematics. In the case of dyscalculia, it is difficult for them to recognize the correct information. dyslexia is also a disorder of parendizaje but in the case of dyslexia, hyperactivity is included with other difficulties.
dyscalculia is also called math dyslexia.
I hope I have helped you and thank you for paying attention to this good information.
