My Steem Ambassador Application

Dear Fellow Steemians,

I humbled by the kind persistent and kind advice from fellow Steem Ambassador @danieldoughty suggesting me to apply for Steem Ambassador as he saw how my confidence in Steem platform journey. After few weeks of consideration and also support receive from fellow Steem Ambassador @pennsif. So here I am in applying for Steem Ambassador.

2. Previous promotional experience (if any)

It has been always Marketing and Promotion deeply in me. My strong background has always been in the Tourism industry. I am currently the General Manager for Totally Borneo Holidays Sdn Bhd, a tour company based in Sabah, Borneo. The company caters to Tours and Hotel Booking in Malaysia, particularly in Sabah. For the past 15 years, I have grown from a Driver to a Tour Guide, then to a Sales Executive, Sales Manager then to General Manager and rise up to the Higher Management handling bigger portfolio and bigger projects on hands.

For the past years, I have been traveling South East Asia to promote Sabah as the premier destination for travelers. Talks with presentation one after another, meetings with stakeholders and potential clients was my day to day job basis in those days.

3. Your story and achievements as a Steem/Steemit promoter so far

Due to a Steem believer and confidence on Steemit platform, I have declared that Totally Borneo Holidays now accepting Steem Or Sbd for Hotel and Tours Booking. this was my big step give to all Steemians around the world to pay in Steem for their Hotel Accommodation and Tour Booking. On another occasion, for the love and confidence of Steemit. Through the collaboration of #teammalaysia and the community of Steemit in Sabah. I head on to organize our first Sabah #teamamalaysia Family gathering in Beringgis Firefly Cruise serving with sumptuous Dinner. All Sabah #teammalaysia members who went with this cruise pay only 2 Steem. Please check out the post here made by Sabah Steemians 12,3,4,5,6. This was my first experience in accepting Steem and SBD for payment for Tours in Sabah.

4. Why you promote Steem / Steemit

Why not, we can actually earn rewards by blogging and writing a post in Steemit. Before stumbling upon Steemit, I don't even post in Social Media on my personal page, besides doing Marketing and Promotion on Facebook and Instagram. Now, its a total change of outlook and perception. It is the Confidence and Trust on the Platform that drives me towards for the better in Steemit.

I do have to say that writing or blogging calm's me down a lot, which I believe its a stress relief way (for me). It is a healthy activity and what other platforms should I be doing if not steeming. Even when the days busy with work, #steepshot will do in Steemit.

Another way i explain Steemit in helping those in need, those advanced bloggers who write great quality content but don't get paid to their satisfaction, Steemit will be their Home Run. It will blow their mind off.

5. What are the reasons you want to become a Steem Ambassador

The Passion and Love for the Steemit Community. To help underrated post and be relevant so that their post be acknowledged more in Steemit journey. The effort on writing a great post and blog who does not get notice, Steem Ambassador will help those in need.

To also encourage existing steemians that are inactive and to continue to advise writing in Steemit where they will see and earn in redeem rewards.

I will be continuing to be relevant in Steemit (Long Run) and most importantly to share my knowledge with young minnows out there on this awesome platform.

Recently, I and a few local steemians organize a Steemit Charity Drive. It was a total success and unbelieveable journey to see rewards redeem from the post and donated to the San Damiano Boys Hostel in the rural poor village . Please do check out my post here 1,2,3,4,5.

6. What are your future Plans as a Steem Ambassador

I will continue to organize Meet-Up, Gatherings, Family Outing and Charities in the near Future for steemians in my area. To able provide the platform easily for others and understand better is my ultimate goal. To continue engaging with Steemians around the world and offline interaction in my area.

Next project for #teammalaysia Sabah is to organize Steemit Masterclass here with the help of Steemit Ambassador @danieldoughty.

Another big event project from #teammalaysia coming soon in Sabah Malaysia, BORNEO. They call it a "smaller version of Steem Fest". My role is to place the right stakeholders such as hotels, transportation, venue, tours all in place. More Details update on this COMING SOON.
