Unexpected Steemian Meetup with @k0wsk1! // Thank You Video to @curie, @dtube and @openmic
Hi Friends!
I was Soooo excited when I get a comment on one of my posts yesterday from @k0wsk1 saying that he was going to be in Bellingham (where I live) for a few days and asked if I'd like to meetup.
Ummmm ... YES!!
Eating Burritos and Talkin' Steem
We went out to a local favorite spot for burritos and margaritas and literally talked for hours all about Steemit, crypto, life and everything in between. There is such a cool and unique bond that happens when you meetup with steemias in person!
Crazy Similarites in our Steem Stories! Thank you @openmic, @curie and @dtube
One of the things that was most striking about our conversation was how similar the start of our Steemit journey's were. We both got plugged in with the open mic community right away and talked about how pivotal it was for us staying engaged in the platform. We both have had SUCH positive experiences from being in the open mic community and really felt like they embraced newbies and kind of helped us both feel at home around here. I just want to take a second to send a huge virtual hug to @luzcypher, @pfunk, @krystle, @soundlegion, @meno, @passion-ground, @vebal-d and all the other incredible steemians that make the open community so special. All of your hard work and love DOES make a difference! <3
The second similarly in our story is that we both have been incredibly fortunate to receive votes from @curie. My first big vote came from Project Curie and I have to say... it was incredibly motivating when I was getting started. I think Project Curie is one of the coolest things happening on the Steem blockchain and they do so much to encourage promising new users. Please consider using one of your witness votes for @curie! Ps... while you are at it... vote for @pfunk as a witness to help support the open mic community. :)
The third similarity in our stories is how we started posting music to @dtube and were fortunate enough to receive some votes and encouragement. I have so much love and gratitude in my heart for Dtube and it was really cool to be chatting all about the power this platform will have moving forward and how decentralized video sharing is really going to be the way of the future. It was AWESOME to nerd out with another Dtuber and chat about all of this stuff.
