Spreading awareness about Steemit and cryptocurrency to business men and women in Uganda

Today I have begun a campaign of reaching out to business men and women at their business premises to share with them about Steemit. I have begun with a place called Satellite beach in Mukono, which is a huge building that comprises of different shops of different business men and women who deal in different items such as fashion and designs, Computer repair and management, health services, Entertainment such as sale of DVD movies, Banking services, Catering services, Internet café, telecom services such as sale of airtime, Saloon services, Laundry services, Secretarial services. This is such a busy place that has so many businesses taking place and customers are all over moving in and out of this place.

I went about from shop to shop not to buy anything from any of them but to introduce Steemit to these people. With a good introduction and approach they were very willing to listen to what I had on table for them.
I did not want to burn much of their time as they are very busy people. I could go straight to the point by unfolding an A4 poster that I had designed with words printed on like

This was a moving poster I made which I kept on moving around with from one shop to another and also to the customers around if found interested.

It was such a wonderful experience though quite challenging as these are business people who are believed to be very busy, focused and really don’t need any interruption from their work. But I had to use wisdom and a good approach with an understanding of the state they are at. I had to make sure that I packaged the information about Steemit as brief as possible and in a poster form.

Business men and Women are very big potential investors in Cryptocurrency. I feel a very big need to reach out to such as them in order to pull them over to this platform that can enlighten them about cryptocurrency most especially Steem that is by way of inspiring them to join Steemit. If given time to be educated about crypto these will cause the value of Steem to rise up that is when they make up their minds and take personal decisions to invest in Steem.

Most of them were very receptive whereby they offered me some quality minutes of their time to explain orally in summary what Steemit was all about which I did basing on my experience I have so far had on the platform. They asked questions like

How do you withdraw the money?
How does Steemit Benefit from rewarding you for your content?
Where does Steemit get its money it rewards people?

My response to these questions to them in summary form was that the Steemit account is designed in a way that it contains a digital wallet where the money earned from your posts is collected after every 7days pay-out period of your every post. Steemit is called so because Steem which is a crypto you are rewarded with and gives value to the content you have shared. It aims to promote the usability of Steem and hence boost its value in the long run that’s why it’s very important to keep encouraging you to remain active on the platform by rewarding your contributions on the platform.

A few were negative as they openly said to me that they have no time for social media as they are too busy with their work. I kept positive and advised them further to seek to learn about cryptocurrency when it is still early because it is the future money and the era of fiat money system is phasing out. After all it is for their good. The earlier the better.
As a result oriented person. I gave some of them my Steemit business cards most especially to those that expressed interest in joining us here soon.

I tried to help one of them to create an account but unfortunately the building has a serious setback of network problem. The internet was unstable so I resorted to just leave him with my Steemit business card where he will do the sign up on his own following the few guidelines I aired out to him and in case of any help he contacts me.

It was generally a fun moment moving around and meeting different new people who are of a different category that is of the working class. These are normally in need of investment opportunities where to invest their hard worked profits from their businesses. Presenting Steemit to them is such a wonderfully platform that can best suit their desire and need to invest.

Am set to continue with this campaign by reaching out to more business men and women in the different shopping malls and even companies.
