PART 3b SUBMITTING A PITCH FOR MICRO LOAN
We have had lots of feedback from people from all over the world who would like to help out promoting Steemit! This is truly AMAZING and we really love the response! it brings true confidence in the platform and its strong user base going forward.
Some people are already promoting Steem or will draw from our ideas in section 3a) (see here). They have some financial capital to allow them to afford their initial promotional expenses.
Other people on Steemit have clearly demonstrated a great drive and passion to promote Steemit in their blogs, however they do not have any (or very little) initial capital to get them started promoting Steemit to the world!
As part of our launch of #promo-steem please find below details of how to create a pitch to #promo-steem in order to obtain an INTEREST FREE micro loan that will help you get your Steem promotion activities off the ground and give you the ability to acquire items such as T-shirts, mugs, caps, pens, flyers, business cards, banners, flags etc. Also if your proposal is more extravagant promotion method, we will also consider these proposals and if you are the right person for the job, we will do our best to finance your initiative!
INTEREST FREE Loan Structure
Initially we are going to help people who successfully pass our pitching process with loans in steem only. The first loans will be 100-200 steem loans only.
These loans shall be provided at the discretion of #promo-steem only based on pitches submitted by the loan applicants (details of how to pitch are below).
Once the loan is made, the recipient of the loan shall begin regularly blogging on their promotional campaign as it develops from inception through to completion.
Each loan recipient should be able to produce at least 15 individual blogs from this activity.
The loan is interest free and shall be paid back in full.
Our loans shall be tracked publicly on the Steemit blockchain for all to see their progress, repayment and hopefully the success stories behind them.
Once the loan recipient has accumulated the value of the loan + 50% the candidate shall begin paying back the loan at 100% of their future blogging earnings
For example: Let's assume the loan recipeint has a strong promotional method and has passed our loan pitching process and been accepted for a 100 Steem loan. The candidate receives the loan and begins blogging about setting up their promotional camping. Once their blogs total a profit of 150 steem they shall pay back the loan until they reach 250 steem in blogging revenues. All blogging revenue following this belongs to the loan candidate. These profits can then be reinvested by the candidate into their own promotion initiative so that they can increase the value created for Steemit! This is therefore an interest free micro loan.
We plan to start with 8 - 10 candidates in the first phase of our loans programme and we are really excited to see how it all progresses!

How to submit a pitch
1- The loan requester or loan candidate should submit a blog that is entitled: "#promo-steem PROMOTIONAL LOAN PITCH"
2- the blog shall include mentions to the names @starkerz and @stephenkendal in order to get our attention
3- the blog shall be tagged with the following as a minimum:
4- the blog shall include a clear summary of who you are, and any previous work you have done on steemit. We would like to see people reassure us that they are dedicated, trustable candidates here who are SELF STARTERS are dedicated to promoting Steemit and are dedicated to repaying the loan. If you can include a short video of who you are, how you plan to promote steemit, and what your proposal is this will be highly beneficial!
5- the blog shall include a clear detail of what your promotional campaign shall include and how you plan to promote steemit. Please use our promotional methods blog here as a basis for your ideas
6- a detailed break down of all costs shall be included in the blog. for example the candidate should write something along the lines of the following:
"I have carried out a detailed review of costs in my local area and as part of my Steemit promotion campaign I will incur the following costs:
- 4 T-shirts = 50 steem
- 500 business cards = 20 steem
- 5,000 flyers = 30 steem
- detail other costs etc..."
Once we have been made aware of a pitch blog, we shall review the blog and review the candidate to see if they meet our criteria for the loan. We shall write in the comments of the blog if we plan to proceed with the loan or not.
If the candidate and their pitch is successful and we proceed with the loan we shall create a blog that lists our terms and conditions for provision and repayment of the loan.

I hope this gets a lot of support @starkerz, it's a great initiative.
We think we can make a real difference, especially in showing that steemit is a platform that can be used to harness the productivity of the users to create value. This is what steemit is to me! a value creation machine. this can only be done if we get as many people involved and financed as possible to do cool creative things on here!

I love the idea of promoting Steemit to different communities all around the world . After seeing Stephan promote in UK and many others . I decided I'd promote in NYC when college opens up to different clubs . It would be greate to open Steem to young minds that are trying to socialize and have a business mentality .

First of all thank you for this post @starkerz and co....
(1) The idea of lending micro loan in steem is really commendable. See here in my reply i must say you job is extra ordinary,...but it is a bit different for different location, where we stay and we see people around us may not get conceived by our idea of promoting, so i am of different apprehension of promoting steem in my locality and i may not consider ditributing t-shirt....or mug but flyer and banner will be okay for me.
(2) My expense of promoting steem would on a higher side, so i am waiting to generate some money or arranging it by some other means to go and execute my plan at ground level...But in no way i am trying to demotivate you, in fact i am taking all the clues from you to make it bigger, so in that sense i am grateful to you @starkerz ....
(3) See one of the disadvantageous part for me in my locality is that people dont have direct exchanger to buy steem or sbd...either they have go through BTC or LTC and in the process people will be losing around 20% during conversion of their local money to steem....i have in my locality 10 such people who are willing to buy steem or steem power and try to start on big node....but this is one fact which discoursing them...may i request @starkerz to show some idea...or can it be possible that you help those friends to exchange their local currency to steem here...or can they directly send to ur bank account by wire transfer and in return u can provide them steem...in this way i am not trying to protray you as an exchanger.....but there are people who would like to join and start big here....but this is a fact which is dragging them back to say big yes to steemit.

if your expense is high consider putting a blog together to garner support from the community here on steemit. maybe you can easily find the funds or at least cover some of the costs thought up votes.
I know about the money part. however, in order to sign up to steemit nomoney is needed. however some solutions i like lie just around the corner. Wirex cards for example will soon allow for you to send fiat straight to the card and then change immediately to bitcoin at the best possible rate see HERE Also the Ten X card either has or will have the same feature. also have you tried localbitcoins.com I am sure that there will be users on there who are hoping to swap rupees for btc. May the Steem be with you!
(1)Again thank you so much for the reply @starkerz sir.....see for indian people buying btc is not a problem...there are numerous exchanger...they want direct steem exchanger....i know steem is still in its early stage.... so this facility has not developed yet...but what i want is that a community wthin steemit should develope to provide direct steem exchange with local currencies...this way the hefty exchnage fees can be minimized...
(2) For registration in steemit there is no fees.... i know and people around my community who are interested to join also knows that...but they are interested to join right from a "dolphin" level by buying steem...and with a mediocre steem power and for that they want to put their money...but this is a major steback for them that they dont want to loose 20% in the exchange....
(3) Localbitcoins i am aware of but i am looking for direct steem exchanger....

20%? That is a lot.... How about buying BTC and then turning into steem on Bittrex exchange! I am not sure but the fees are either 0,2 or 0,25%...
See what ever be the case...one has to go through double exchnage...like from local currency to BTC----then again from BTC to Steem and in the process... the exchange fees is much more....we would be happy if there is any provision to buy steem with a credit card...with the growing community in steem....i think the time has come to ease the buying of steem.....at one hand we are earning cents here bit by bit and if for an exchange we are paying 15-20% then i must say its a setback....
Buying steem right on the platform would be a different ball game as it is too much hassle for many people to buy BTC at the exchanges and then turning that into steem.... The whole process for someone who is not into crypto is just too complicated and lengthy.... Would be fantastic if users could just take out their CC a purchase steem right on the platform.... Hopefull we will see that one day:)....
