Steem At ICoin Summit 23/5/2018
If you didn't know I attended the London CryptoCurrency Show this past April 14th and wow what a awesome day it was for myself and Steemit.com

Steemit was promoted at the London Cryptocurrency Show and our main speakers for its representation were Matt @Starkerz, Dylan @anarcotech and Stephen @stephenkendal
It was an important event as London is probably one of the biggest financial centre's in the world and so perfect to place the amazing platform that is Steemit.com right there.
It was such a great opportunity to promote our amazing cryptocurrency "Steem" in England it gave some of the attending Steemit.com community users a better angle to promote the platform to the many people who were new and curious.
There was also some great support from project speakers who had travelled from all around the world to speak about their Steem based projects • e-steem (with @dunksky, • @utopian-io ( with @techslut), • @fredrikaa and @howo from Steempress, @stach (with @ejemai) Well @ejemai could not make it to this event due to unfortunate reasons but @anarcotech covered the STACH Project beautifully , Appics (with @mrs.steemit) and @allasyummyfood spoke about turning your passion into money with Steemit.
As a quick conclusion the Steem-promo booth took the lime light at the show.
And I was happy that quickly there was already discussion of doing it again at another Cryptocurrency Show.
Eager to do something as successful as the first it was discovered that the next London cryptocurrency Show will be holding their next event on Saturday 20th of October!!
But this does not mean that Promo-Steem will be there just yet, and @stephenkendal wants to know if this is something we as a community are wanting to see or agree on?
I for one will say yes to supporting the next show the biggest problem I have personally is today I have came to the realisation that my "allowed" time off from work is already vastly depleting and its only month 5 of the year.
Anyway following on from a very successful time at the London Cryptocurrency Show I then heard that @starkerz and @anarcotech will be speaking at the Icoin Blockchain Summit on the 9th and 10th of May in Cyprus.
Basically 16 ICO's pitched to a panel of judges and of course the audience, this was to educate and possibly win up to $250,000 in prize funds!
And I know what your thinking...invest all the winning money into Steem and make the price go up!
Well before you get too excited that was not even going to be happening Matt @Starkerz and Dylan @anarcotech did not play in this pitching game, but who cares that was not the point of attending.
But dont worry instead they spoke about the Steemit blockchain technology and the Steem token infront of a room full of interested big investors.
Super Quick Overview
The point was to be there representing Steem and the blockchain driving attention to the platform by slipping Steem into some of the discussions along with the blockchain's amazing technology.
It was definitely a very important event and the results could very well help raise the price of Steem by alot and encourage new developers to create more great projects on the Steem blockchain.
Its was important to have Promo-Steem there present, as many visitors attended, over 1000+ potential investors , 30 speakers were on stage, 16 ICO's were there, around 25+ investment funds and of course those who were competing for that lovely sum of up to $250,000!
What alot of great things that happened on those 2 days and I guess that is also what made me sad.
See I would of loved to have attended this event but a few things prevented me from being able to go.
Firstly was.. I didn't have much notice as I would of had to book time off from work and then wait for it to get confirmed which can be a pain.
Also my dad was here visiting me during that time and it was close to my sister's birthday, but the biggest and most obvious reason was the lack of funds.
Shame really.. perhaps if I had more time I would of been able to gather some more funds from Steemit and make it to the event, because hey I done just that for Steemfest2 so why not Cyprus eh?

And so if work would of allowed it I would of definitely gone.
I mean Steemit in Cyprus! Limassol! What could be better?! Haha.
Anyway the event was so much more successful then expected Matt @Starkerz and Dylan @anarcotech moderated two of their expert panels, and following their presentations they were approached by many multiple potential clients throughout the remainder of the show almost non-stop.
The interested investors were all completely blown away by what Matt @Starkerz and Dylan @anarcotech had just presented to them and so most of these investors wanted to know how they could get in and work together.
And due to all this crazy demand it seems to have pushed @anarcotech and @starkerz to co-found their new company called Oracle-D.

There will be alot more information about this very soon in the coming weeks but basically all this means many new projects will be getting started on Steemit like social housing, computer game development, language translations and etc so these new projects will bring in most likely huge new capital to the Steem blockchain, along with many new potential earnings and jobs for Steemians.
So what is Oracle-D? Well its how we can all work together to make these projects happen for these new clients.

No problem these events will really take steem to the next level it will just take time, and that's great wouldn't it of been great to visit Cyprus eh, yup it was also alot of mentioning of Steem here and there, glad you liked it @akomoajong

Oh yes very well attended, thanks for that @evernoticethat more then that I would need to gather SP because the higher the value of Steem the more difficult it is to get SP which is what would be needed to supprt attending these events, those little upvotes of yours are very much appreciated and all help the cause.

Definitely all these events that take place around the world in order to promote and seek new investments in Steemit, are a tremendous idea, I have no doubt and I congratulate you @simonjay for being part of that team although I know that work limits you much for logical reasons of the permissions.
Thanks for all the information you share and now with the new Oracle-D company and its entry into the Steemit environment, we are very excited to see what the future brings ... Greetings @simonjay.
Thanks very much for that @cjao2o indeed work gets more and more in the way but unfortunately I am not in a position where I can quit and work on Steemit full time, now that would be a dream but you never know but which is why I appreciate all the supprt and no problem it will definitely help some skilled people on here find work if they want it.
