University malikussaleh was founded in 1969, the current rector is prof. Dr. Apridar, S.E., M, Si
The name of university malikussaleh is taken from the name of a king who first kingdom ocean pasai sultan malikussaleh based on the spirit of leadership and development relay that has been laid through the nature of pioneering, dynamism, and patriotism
Although the sultan malikussaleh has died but the pioneering spirit, dynamism and patriotism are still engraved in the heart and become the driving force of this nation's struggle
