Let me begin with a story,i remember commenting on a post by @achimmertens a month ago and can not believe of the opportunity that one comment has made thus far.
I cannot get the right words to describe how this last week has been for me and Steemit Uganda as a whole!
This last week has been so marvelous of the Uganda Steemit team as we made new shirts and embarked on Street and university promotions.We promoted to one of the biggest universities in Uganda,Kyambogo.
As I mentioned in my prior posts,all this promotional activities were made possible by generous donation of 37 SBDs from @achimmertens . This whole partnership began from a simple comment,you can read how we linked up on my blog!
Summary of Activities
1. Received 37 SBDS from Achim Mertens
As I already said , he sent the SBDS and we converted it into Ugandan money last Monday and we were able to buy some t.shirts and also flyer and it helped with all the promo facilitations.

2. Street Promotions Begin
We started talking to people on the streets about Steemit on the day we printed our t.shirts and flyers.As we waited for the t.shirts to be finished,we moved to the rooms at Nasser Road(those who know it) Kampala giving out the finished flyers and explained to them briefly.
The people here were somewhat receptive as we got some few folks who knew about crypto.Some asked if Steem was on coincap and also how many bitcoin is one Steem worth.I personally answered this questions like a boss.I always have my phone on and I showed then the number Steem is on the cap and also the value of 1 Steem in Btc!

3. Team Uganda invaded Kyambogo university
We stormed Kyambogo university in our newly designed t.shirts and flyers.The reception was not great this first day and stidments are sitting for their end of semester examinations and saw as destruction! We honestly laboured to get their attention.

In summary the events at Kyambogo university were fun filled as we made new friends and explained a lot of Steemit to these students.There are those few who don't understand crypto at all though...we told them to email us for more details!.
