Team Uganda is a group of steemians in Uganda that are working hard to promote steemit to every Ugandan and our main goal is to bring as many people as we can and also help them through their steemit journey. If you have been following up on our progress we have been to several universities as a team, one on one promotions on the streets of Kampala and also invited our friends on steemit, we are also getting a helping hand from @achimmertens every month to support the promotions in Uganda.

I had written a post earlier as the MC for this meeting and also the steem -ambassador of Uganda @yohan2on had done Vlog Inviting all the Ugandans on this community to appear to the meet -up on 7th July 2018 with a friend that has no steem account but on second thought we have pushed the meet-up to 14th July because of the reasons below.

1. We want to advertise the meet-up on every social media page so it can be open to the Ugandans with no steem accounts.
   On 2nd June we had a meet up like it was really fun and we as the members of the steemit community benefited a lot since there were various topics that were discussed from investing in steem, how to get topics to write about, Dapps and how we can make full use of them, however, we had only one new member that was brought by @cserneithan but this time we don't want the meeting to only comprise of people with steem accounts but we want it to be open to everyone in Uganda . We are going to do this by posting adverts on Uganda steemit Facebook page, every single steemian on the team will be updating their status on WhatsApp with the meet-up and also on our twitter handle.

2. We want every single person with an account to attend.
   When you take a look at our WhatsApp group, we have about 100 participants in the group but you realize in an actual sense about 50 are active which is not good for our community. In this meet-up, we just want to have a one on one with the inactive steemians to find out where the problem is and if we as a community can solve it, then we shall offer a helping hand. Am pretty sure we are not only 100 people but we are more than that it is just some were not added on the group so this week and the next week a background search is going to be done to bring all these people together so we can get meaningful results.

3. We still have a slight debate on where the meeting should take place.
   70% of the steemians are in Mukono district however the other percentage is in Kampala district so every side really wants the meeting to be held in their districts and we realized this might bring a confusion that is why we have pushed it so that a small selection can be done on the meeting place you realize our last meet up was in Kampala district but this time we are are going to make everything clear as early as possible because every single person is doing their best to make this a success
