Reason #1: You can monetary support projects and people without using your own funds

Reason #2 You can Earn Interest by Delegating Steem Power

Reason 3: You can Get the Needed Funds to Start a Project just by posting About it

If you have a great idea, the Steem Community is so great that if you post about it, and people like it and think will add value to the community or the steem blockchain, they will upvote you and in this way alocate reward pool funds to your account.

Simple Steps would be:

1- Post about the idea,
2- Post information about the concept/project and your phases as well as timing
3- Post about the development (this can be a series of posts)and ,
4- Post about the final product

If your idea is a good one and of interest of the community, on each of this Posts you will get people upvote you and get rewards that in total may end up paying for the creation of the product/service.

A great example for this is Steemer.net, created by @cryptomonitor . You can check his blog from the beginning on November/December 2017 when he started with the idea and earned a few dollars per post, and finally caught the attention of @adsactly and got his upvote of hundreds of dollars that are funding his developement!
