A Clarion Call To My Fellow "Imolites": Come Out Of Your Dungeons Let's Make STEEMUP OWERRI MEGA MEETUP a memorable event!
Great people of Imo state resident in Owerri, I salute everyone of you. And I trust you guys are having a great time.
For the past two weeks, I have been shuttling between Abia state where I am resident for now and Owerri, Imo state where I am spearheading a mega meetup to STEEMUP the whole state. And in order not to keep procrastinating unendingly, I have summoned courage to fix the date: March 17th, 2018; successfully secured event venue and official hotels to be used by our visitors. And have been reaching out to many steemians of repute, led by @Stach's team, to grace the occasion and unleash their wealth of knowledge to turn things around for those of you who are willing to listen.
These things take time and energy...it just hasn't been easy. That, I admit. But in affairs of man, there are those who must sacrifice for others to have a smooth ride. Through the arduous formative stage of @euronation community to now, yours truly have been in the forefront of encouraging engagement within this community on the internet. Now, we have decided to take our campaigns offline for a more effective impact, and we have chosen Imo state as one of the states to host this meetup in the heart of Southeastern zone.
With event venue and hotels successfully secured, it is time to send a clarion call to all true steemians resident in Imo state to come out enmasse for the purpose of creating massive awareness. We have a duty to make this a memorable event! We must arise in unison to do something remarkable; something far reaching; something our guests would see and be proud of us and support us. A standard has been set at Ibadan, which was globally acknowledged to be the best steemit based gathering ever to have been hosted on Nigeria soil. No doubt about that; kudos to @tojukaka and team who made it possible.
And now it is our turn to show the world what we are made of. We must rise to the occasion for the sake of ensuring steemit gets to every nooks and crannies of our state. Online meetings exist, yes. But nothing can ever compare to offline meetings. Succeeding on Steemit to a large extent depends on the social connections you are able to build over a period. This is the best time to identify with great forces and form rapport with them for easy consultation in the the future.
I am not resident in Owerri but I am spearheading this meetup in Owerri for your own good. Embrace this opportunity I am presenting to you now to meet the people that matter. Come out of your dungeons and identify with this preparatory stage of this event that would set our state aflame with steem✌️.

I'm so impressed, and we don't have nearly the interest in the USA that you have in Nigeria. This is huge for STEEM as a blockchain, and Steemit as a decentralized social media.
If there are 1 Mil African users by end of this year, the entire world will take notice. I must support this, and I will try to help make other's aware as well.
Sir, 1 Million Africans on Steemit is very much achievable this year. Average Nigerian youths spends most time on social media. How much more if they get paid by the social media considering the high rate of unemployment in my country.
