I was on the verge of dying when he healed me with a touch. I thought he was an angel.

I have the gift, that was what they called it(my parents). I saw through disguises. I saw spirits as if they had physical bodies.

I could hear and understand strange languages that no normal human could hear. I had the ability to see the true nature of a person. You would be surprised to know a lot of people are not what they seem but the essence of my explanation is simple...i was cursed.

A jealous witch had been the downfall of my grandfather who was a lover of women. He had died labelled as a lunatic. I have struggled all my life to act normal...this was my mother's wish for me.

I had seen death looming and mocking me with his dark presence, waiting for me to decline futher when suddenly, a man like no other appeared.

He was beyond handsome with silky black hair that shone like nothing i have ever seen. His face...it was finely chiselled with a straight nose and adorable pink lips.

His eyes drew me like moth to a flame. My first thought was iridescence, i cannot till this day tell which colour his eyes are except that it was a mixture of beautiful warm colours.I thought at the time that he was come to take me to heaven.

His body was just perfect with no form of blemish on his skin. It was the most beautiful skin i had ever seen in my life.

And he had wings! Beautiful blue wings that i cannot even begin to describe.

He smiled at me and i stared stupidly back, not daring to believe i was the recipient of such adoration.

"Beautiful Beth," he said.

"Where do you think you are going to at this young age? We have not even started our life together. How am i supposed to live without you?"

I thought i was having one of those numerous ridiculous dreams where i get saved by a supernatural being, an handsome one at that. I am in love with paranormal stories...can you blame me? Paranormal was the sum total of my life!

Then i felt his touch...i felt peace come over me and closed my eyes unwillingly. The next time i opened them, he was gone. So was death and i felt alive for the first time in months!

I sat up and stretched like a lazy cat smiling at the feeling of good health. I lived my life happily for three days before he appeared to me again.

"Beautiful Beth, do you remember me?"

"You...but you were just a dream!"

He laughed at me...the sound was musical and made me want to scream with joy.

"Surely, with your abilities you know i am real. I have tarried for long waiting for you to grow up. I believe it is time i claimed you as my mate."

I could do nothing but stare at him with my mouth open and a racing heart too.

He walked up to me and lifted my chin with his finger. The thrill i felt was out of this world.

"What do you say, my beauty?" he asked.

I saw myself in the mirror everyday. I knew i was ordinary looking. I looked around the room to see if someone else was with us. But it was just us in the room.

"Ddddo you mean me?" I stammered.

"Who else is standing in front of me, my beauty? You are my soulmate and you are the most beautiful woman in the world. No one else would do for Kaliu."

"Kaliu?"

I knew that name from a long time ago. He was a fairy that was loved by all. His wife had died leaving him broken.

"How can it me?" I asked.
"Can't you feel it? See the mark on your forearm..don't you know what it means? You are my queen returned back to me in flesh."

He smiled and pulled me close. He kissed me and it was sweet..then the memories flooded my mind. I experienced all over again my life with my beloved husband who treasured me even above his own life.

I welcomed him into my life and body as we became one, never to be separated again.
