The past Saturday, like most other Saturdays, were no exception from the normal, we were visiting my brother and had our compulsory Braai!! During a Braai a lot of socializing takes place around the fire while braaiing the meat, and of-cause consuming some ice cold BEERS!!

I was planning to test two BEERS on this occasion and the first one up was a Whale Tale Ale brewed by Boston Breweries. The name has a nice ring to it - Whale Tale Ale!! It comes in a nice 440ml bottle with a low 3.5% alcohol.

It poured with a very nice copper color, with an almost nonexistent head!! Although I did get the caramel malt taste, it was not nearly as nice as it sounds, this beer was rather average, and not one that I will buy again!!

The next BEER was a Cockney Liz Pale ale, which is a Session Pale Ale, according to the label attached to the neck of the bottle.

This beer also came in a 440ml bottle with a low alcohol content of 3.5%.

This beer has a nice and interesting story on the label explaining where the beer's name come from!!

The label looks quite interesting, would this beer live up to expectations???

It poured with a light hazy color, due to the unfiltered nature of this beer, it also had a nice white head!!

This beer had a strong hops smell and also a strong hops taste!! Although I normally love the hoppy beers, this one also was not to my liking, although better than the Whale Tale Ale, I tested first

Today was not a good beer day, with both beers being average - drinkable but no WOW!! factor - better luck next time!!
