Well, here it is - all my shenanigans for the week, and what an awesomely interesting, fun and event filled week it was! I was actually supposed to do this post yesterday, keeping in line with my whole "no more posting on weekends" haha, but it was a jam packed day and I simply did not have the time! Nonetheless, here it is...

Some weeks just have that entirely feel good vibe about them, and this was definitely one of those weeks! Being the last week of school for the term as we headed towards ten days of doing whatever the heck we please - why would we not all be in a good mood by default haha! However, if I was to pick a highlight for the week, it would definitely have to be our evening last night. Dave and I seldom go out on our own but last night we were organizzzzed lol! We had granny come for a sleepover with Jude and posh pup, so everyone was happy!

Dave and I hopped into an uber and went off for an early dinner before heading to the Baxter Theatre to watch his mate... Dalin Oliver in action with his "adulting" comedy show.

I was craving a steak so we decided to try a spot that we have not been to before. Sadly, despite them being a DEDICATED steakhouse, their amazing music, the wonderfully rustic setting and the super service - the food was less than impressive which was a grave disappointment because their prices were not average.

I am always nagging Dave to stop ordering his steaks medium rare and to order them rare instead - which he never does, but last night he decided to and instead, he got a well done steak haha - DOH!

I ordered their blue cheese steak. I like a sauce with my steak and what I often do to substitute a sauce and chips, I will have it with creamed spinach which is precisely what I did... but unfortunately all I received to accompany my also not great steak was a pile of watery SLOP! I was less than impressed!

Anyhoooooo... we made the best out of the time there and admittedly they did give us two complimentary shooters in an attempt to make up for the food oopsies - although in my opinion, this falls dramatically short of an adequate compensation when you have spent almost a grand on your brief visit to their establishment. Nonetheless, it was time to head off to the theatre and enjoy the show, which was absolutely brilliant!

Nothing beats an entire evening of laughing until you cry! - It is such good food for the soul! The entire evening was just brilliant, except for the part when I had to disturb about ten people because I was so utterly desperate to get to pee!!!!! hahahaha - but no matter, we ended up being given much better box seats after that so as to not disturb the other guests again lol. It was just so great to get out and have a completely carefree evening! It was an acute reminder of life before motherhood haha and whilst I wouldn't change my life for the world... it certainly did feel good!

As for the rest of my week it was pretty busy with everything wrapping up at school, parent teacher meetings as well as planning my little mans upcoming birthday party! Had a SUPER tasty and casual roast chicken dinner with mom on Thursday, popped out for a DELICIOUS steak lunch at Pastis Brassiere as well (much better than last nights steak lol and half the price)

As many of you know, I am no baker - my passion is cooking, but for the last two years I have baked Jude's birthday cake and I quite like the challenge... but once a year is enough for me haha!

This year we are spoiling him because he is becoming a double digit! Yip, I cannot believe that my son is already 10 years old!!!!! Crazy how fast the time goes! So yes, the spoiling... Jude LOVESSSS dodgeball so we decided to hire the inflatable dodgeball crew to come and run him and his friends legless hahaha!! They bring and do everything in terms of the games, music, referees etc. So it hould prove fun for the boys! Here's hoping my cake turns out as good as the dodgeball tournament lol!!!
