Castelo de Noudar - Portugal
O castelo de Noudar está localizado em Barrancos, junto à fronteira espanhola, num lugar muito bonito entre os rios Múrtega e Ardila que flui para o oeste.
A sua construção foi terminada em 1307, durante o reinado de D. Dinis. O lugar foi escolhido por causa das suas defesas naturais, fácil acesso e a proximidade de uma fonte de água de excelente qualidade - Fonte da Figueira, localizada a cerca de 250 metros a leste da castelo, sob o topo da colina conhecido como Forca .
Boa e abundante terra agrícola e campos de pastoreio de gado também podem ser encontrados perto do castelo.
Não se encontram apenas vestígios do período medieval, mas também numerosos testemunhos do período romano e islâmico, como revelado por várias campanhas arqueológicas.
A muralha, reforçada por torres e pilares, tem um plano hexagonal. A igreja Nossa Senhora do Desterro está situada dentro da muralha.
