Literally. It's not uncommon to use animal force to carry weights through narrow mountain roads in Iran. This shot was taken in Darband, an old neighborhood in northern Tehran.

It seems that the poor ass is looking for support in the pole to try to support the weight he carries on his back; definitely these animals suffer, but it is the normal dynamics of life.
