Micro Pond Update : Everything Looking Great

The Micro Pond is looking great. The pond plants I planted last year survived the winter well and are all growing stongly. The Mimulas are also doing well around the edge.
The pond life is thriving with water boatman and pond skaters. I have seen a few tiny baby frogs which were tadpoles earlier in the year. Need to be careful cutting the grass now for the next few months. The two large frogs are still in the pond and can be seen insect hunting when it rains.

Here you can see the Mimulas roots growing well in the water making a great habitat for baby fish and smaller water insects. Plus they do a great job filtering the water and removing any nutrients and ammonia that can turn the water green.
The only jobs to keep up with in this pond is to keep dead leaves out of the water.

Just sat here after i posted and saw that this little guy had come out to hunt. Although he look full enough already
