My Opening Statements

As I write my first "blog" on steemit, I ponder where to start, on the current state of the good ol' US of A. That was sarcasm in case you didn't pick up on that. Although I love county in which I live, there is nothing good, great, or even mediocre about the "United" States anymore. As the election looms, I am constantly reminded by the media, Facebook posts, and in person conversation, that the American people are very uninformed and have been taken advantage of. People have developed Stockholm Syndrome in regards to our government. When will people realize we are better off without government. Every election year "we the people", vote in an incompetent, corrupt, lying politician who time and time again, increase the size of government and cater to those of whom they were bought and paid by. My wish, is that everyone join together to peacefully protest the election and the overreaching government that oppresses EVERYONE who isn't rich and powerful. No matter race, gender, religion, or background, you are victims of the biggest monopoly there is, government. The only reason "government" was established in the first place, was to protect your rights as an individual. Rights that can't be taken away unless you give someone the power to do so. If you think voting right or left will change anything for you or anyone, you're wrong. It's the illusion of choice in which you have believed for far to long. It's time to break away from the chains that were provided by your captor, and take your power and freedom back. "People should not be afraid of their government, government should be afraid of its people"
