Trump Berates the Media at Press Conference: 'This is fake news, put out by the media.'
President Donal Trump called out the mainstream media for "fake news" again today after starting off announcing Alexander Acosta to head the Department of Labor and his other tasks accomplished so far.
The new assignment comes after the original nominee for this position, fast-food executive Andrew Puzder, backed out on Wednesday. This was Trumps first solo press conference at the White House.
Trump started off the press conference by saying the media in Washington, New York and Los Angeles:
"...speaks not for the people but for the special interests, who benefit from the obviously broken system... [whose] level of dishonesty is out of control."
The media is trying to attack Trump's administration, saying that the White House is in "chaos". Trump says the only problem is getting his cabinet approved by the Senate.
He talked about what he has done so far:
- killing the TPP
- hiring freeze on nonessential government workers
- moratorium on new regulations
- "drain the swamp" of lobbyist influence
With plans to:
- building a wall on the southern border
- cracking down on sanctuary cities
- nationwide effort to deport criminal aliens
- repeal and replace Obamacare
- task force to reduce violent crime in America
The press kept on the pressure throughout, asking about his alleged campaign ties with Russia during the election. Russia is a really hot topic again because of the recent resignation of General Michael Flynn for having engaged in communications with Russia and apparently having misled the administration about how he did it.
The US and Western powers created a conflict in Syria where they backed and financed ISIS and Al Qaeda through weaponry, vehicles and other supplies. Then Russia was portrayed as the bad guys who helped Syria. Most people don't know this, and the media is certainly not talking about it as they continue to perpetuate the Russian threat similar to Red communism of the Cold War. There is a "Deep State" working against Trump in the intelligentsia of the U.S. Even when Obama had agreed to peace true with Syria, forces within the government bombed and killed over a hundred Syrian soldiers which ended the truce.
Understandably, Trump is getting pretty annoyed with the constant correspondence of him and his administration being somehow in collusion with the evil Russian threat. He responded with:
“I own nothing in Russia. I have no loans in Russia. I don’t have any deals in Russia,”
“This is fake news, put out by the media”
A reporter tried to nail Trump with WikiLeaks that were revealed during the campaign and spinned against him, to which Trump responded:
“The leaks are real, the news is fake.”
Again, the press asked about Russia and if anyone in the campaign had contact with Russia during the elections, Trump just reiterated the game being played:
“Russia is a ruse, I have nothing to do with Russia.”
Then the press asked him about the uptick in anti-Semitism, to which Trump responded expressed his dislike in being referred to that way:
“I hate the charge [of anti-Semitism], I find it repulsive. I am the least anti-Semitic person you’ve ever met.”
Trump mentioned that the Congressional Black Caucus backed-out of the meeting with him saying it would be bad politically.
Trump was under fire a lot. The "real news" that claims to defend people from "fake news" sure got a licking from Trump today, whether deserved or not. The media is expectedly portraying what he said as a "melt down" and "combative", as you can see in the references below.
*I'm not an advocate for any party. I just like it when the news gets called the "fake news" by the "leader of the free world" when they try to claim they are "real news" and call other things "fake news".

Isn't Trump responsible for forcing Hillary Clinton to sign off on selling 20% of our future uranium mining when she was Sec of State? I think it was right after he forced Russia to donate millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation.
He's got his dirty hands everywhere! :P
Been wondering about all the Wikileaks here lately. We could be looking at all real information, but just the timing in which they may be released can make a difference in perception. Wikileaks could yet again be another control mechanism.
Good point, I've heard that angle before.
The democong never contested the validity of the things that were revealed; this leads me to believe the security breach and the emails are their actual communications.
Compare these two arguments; one the demoocong made, and the other they didn't:
Russia hacked our emails and thus the election
versus
Russia hacked our emails and forged these damaging documents
There is a reason they used the disingenuous argument.
I would fully support Trump if he were to pursue criminal prosecutions against the mainstream media for unreported campaign contributions
