Trump continues to sell out U.S. foreign policy interests.

Trump wants to sell out Ukraine and dissolve NATO protections for Europe to please Putin.

  • He tried to sell out South Korea to please Kim.
  • He sold out the Kurds to please Erdogan.
  • He may try to sell out Hong Kong to please Xi.

I strongly support decreased U.S. military commitments abroad, but kowtowing to and doing the bidding of dictators is not the way to go about it.

The President has considerable, but not sole and absolute, foreign policy authority. Senate Republicans are key now: they need to commit to legislation that ties the President's hands as long as he openly sells out U.S. foreign policy interests. They have passed the Hong Kong Human Rights and Decency Act. They should pass the act sanctioning Turkey. They should make it clear that they know it was Russia that interfered in US elections in 2016 and may do so again in 2020.

Any who don't should be challenged in their next election for selling out America to hostile foreign interests. Call them sellouts, call them un-American, call them useful idiots and tools of tyrants, call them traitors. Preferably do this in the primaries, to give Republican voters an easier route to salvaging their party.
